Reviews of Kolob Canyons Visitor Center
"Stopped here and our way out of Utah. I am very glad we decided to stop. Walked inside the visitor center and we were greeted by a friendly park ranger who was knowledgeable which is definitely a plus. The little gift shop had many souvenirs to choose from. I promise you..you won't leave empty handed.d Don't forget to stamp your National Park Book on your way in or out. If you decide to enter the park and do the small loop drive, you won't regret it. The views are just so breathe taking. They do have restrooms here at the visitor center which are located outside."
"The entirety of the 5 mile road was open today, 2/29/24. Saw lots of recent conflicting info as to if the 2nd half of the road was closed due to maintenance of some kind. It is no longer closed. You can drive all the way to timber creek overlook trail - and please do! It's a beautiful drive and an even better short hike."
"You need to see this national park. It’s every bit as good as Zion. You just don’t have the crowds that Zion park has. Presently there is road construction going on from recent flash flooding. So some of the park is closed."
"Really small center for a real amazing part of the park. The staff and rangers were great. Super helpful, knowledgeable and polite. It gets the job done but they should move some of the money from Zion of this way. Amazing vistas and beautiful hikes. Part of the scenic route, about the last two miles got washed out last year and hasn’t been repaired yet. You are able to park and hike on the road the last bit if you like, which we did and it was great."
"A peaceful section of Zion National Park that is conveniently located between St. George and Cedar City. The road is scenic and leads you to excellent vistas. I recommend sunrise and sunset for views. There is a 7 mile trail that leads to a massive arch. If choosing to hike this, come prepared with water and supplies. The visitor center has park rangers who are knowledgeable and helpful. Keep in mind that the visitor center closes around 5 pm mountain time zone."
