"I am writing this review regarding the highly unsatisfactory experience I endured at Dr. Nelson's medical practice. The series of incidents, ranging from initial appointment scheduling to the handling of my appointments, reflects a profound lack of professionalism and patient care. Following Dr. Nelson's recommendation, I underwent various medical studies, including blood tests, X-rays, and an MRI. Unfortunately, despite these extensive tests, no diagnosis was provided, necessitating my intervention to obtain my medical file from my general doctor. The first red flag emerged during my attempt to schedule an appointment by phone. Multiple voicemails were left unanswered, prompting an in-person visit. The receptionist's tardiness and subsequent misplacement of my information showcased a concerning lack of organizational efficiency and communication. The culmination of these issues transpired during my second appointment. Despite receiving a confirmation for a 12:30 pm slot, my husband and I arrived at 12:28 pm to find the office locked. Despite our attempts to seek clarification, the staff chose to ignore us and even turned off the lights. This behavior was both unprofessional and unacceptable. Contacting the neighboring office revealed that blame was placed on a new staff member. However, my appointment was confirmed days before by an older staff member, and the inexcusable treatment persisted even after providing evidence of the scheduled time. Subsequent interactions with Dr. Nelson's receptionist were marked by extreme rudeness and a lack of accountability. The threatening and mocking tone, combined with an attempt to deflect responsibility, intensified my dissatisfaction. Following a formal complaint, the manager, Sarah, issued a superficial apology, attributing the lapse to a new staff member. Additionally, she issued a warning regarding my conduct towards her staff, without addressing the core issues raised."
"The MD was nice. However every time I would call because I needed a referral to see a physical therapist no one ever answers or returns my calls when I leave a message!!! When I get off work their closed!!! On my day off they don't answer their phone either!!! And their always closed for lunch! Now I'm going out of town and I've been trying to get a hold of someone for a month their!!! No physical therapy for me I guess. They don't care!!!"
"I recently moved from Seattle and started seeing Desiree Hammer (Des) for ongoing back pain after two spinal fusion surgeries. I can’t say enough about the positive experience I have had with Des and Interventional Spine. Des listened to my history of back pain, which has been going on for a few years, ordered an MRI and recommended a plan for treatment. Most of all, she made me feel comfortable by showing caring and understanding."
"Although Dr. Nelson was 45 minute late to my first appointment and late the our second appointment as well, I found him to be attentive, caring, and competent. He took his time with me, clearing explained things, and answered all of my questions. A preauthorization his office was working on for me was denied by my insurance. I called his office and they said they knew about it and were working on the appeal for me. I had not heard anything back for a few weeks, so I called and left a message. My call was not returned, so two weeks later I called and left another message. That call was never returned. What they were working on for me was said to relieve much of my chronic pain. It is a shame that my health and needs were not taken seriously and the staff did have the decency to return my calls. Had it not been for my positive experiences with Dr. Nelson I would surely have left a 1/5 review, but I still would not recommend to anyone."
"Dr. Hammer is very thorough, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. She is exceptionally understanding and, unlike most doctors, she listens. Dr. Nelson is no different. He is probably the best I've ever encountered. The two of them together is like a dream come true for anyone experiencing pain. I could not be happier with the services I have and will continue to receive here. If your insurance doesn't send you here, they aren't sending you to the right place."
