Reviews of LDS Hospital
"My Family loves this hospital. I was born here, as well as all my younger siblings. Anytime we need a hospital to go to, we go here, even though there are several hospitals in between. My last stay was February 9th to the 11th of 2024 for general surgery. From my surgeon to every nurse to the janitor, everyone was absolutely great while I was under their care. I just received a Thank You card from those nurses, wishing me a good and speedy recovery. There was a bit where the company I was with at the time did not have IHC/IMC in their network so we went to several other hospitals in the valley and those were challenging years. 4 of of our 5 children were born in those other hospitals and those experiences were absolutely horrible. Thank goodness my company since has LDS Hospital in their network because now we're glad that if we need to go to a hospital for any of our medical needs we at least have best option for us of going to LDS Hospital. Thank You for taking care of our Family for years!!!"
"Never been here before. Had to go here for a special test. From the moment I walked into the door to the information desk, I was greeted and was walked to where I needed to go. Upon getting where I needed to go the next receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. When I got to go in for my test everyone was very nice and friendly. Then afterwards when I was walking out a guy walking the opposite way stopped and asked if I would like him to get a wheelchair for me. Then pushed me outside and waited for my ride to pull up and get me. Thank You LDS HOSPITAL"
"I had surgery here and while my doctor, anesthesiologist and the OR staff were superb, the pre op nurses were NOT good and put me through unnecessary pain. They seem to not have adequate experience or skills with pre operation procedures like IV. My pre op nurse clearly had no experience with doing IV, I've never had issues with getting blood drawn or IV but she messed up twice and had to call for another nurse to do it a third time. The second nurse was able to get the IV right but "was thinking about something else" and messed up my blood draw so she had to do two separate blood draws, so a total of 5 needles going in 5 separate veins total, which I've NEVER experienced in my life. That being said, I'm so grateful for the care I received from my doctor and the OR staff but the pre op nurses were terrible. I would suggest moving nurses who aren't good with IV and blood draws to post op positions."
"This is one of the worst hospitals in the valley. If you have somebody that you love is being s sent there, fight to keep him out of there. The care there is horrible. I've had two family members that were sent there and the care was so bad they both died. Both incidents is when we had concerns about the care and we voiced them concerns. It didn't turn out well. The first time with the first family member we were ignored and they were just left in the room to die. The second family member. When I questioned the care and what they were doing I was told I had 5 minutes and then I had to leave and couldn't come back. You care, you question everything they do. You don't accept it. You question it if you suspect something you question it"
"Unimpressed with the emergency room care on 12/30-31. We took our son in because he had been throwing up blood. We got in quickly but after the initial meeting with the nurse, he came back and took blood but couldn't get blood from the vein so he had to find another vein to get the blood. We understand that happens but the wait for the labs to come back took very long. The nurse never came to check on our son. We had to go and ask another nurse for blankets multiple times. The initial emergency doctor visit was great as well but never saw the doctor again. After 4 hours in the ER another nurse came and told us our son was ready to be released. We asked about the labs and she said if there was something the doctor was worried about he would have came and talked to you. Here are a few prescriptions. We had to read on our own why they had been prescribed. ER didn't seem busy at all and very disappointed in LDS hospital."
