"We had a great experience with the Bonneville school of sailing! Todd was very experienced and easy to get along with. He gave clear instructions and was very encouraging. We had to reschedule because the first time we showed up the weather was not great, but it ended up working out wonderfully. I would highly recommend the Discover Sailing session, we had a fun time!"
"I just finished the Basic Learn to Sail course, and could not have asked for a better course or instructor. Dale's depth of knowledge, experience, and ability to instruct others on the basics of sailing was phenomenal. I came into the course with almost no sailing experience and Dale had the patience to work with me and help me grasp the material of the course. As the weather didn't always cooperate, Dale even went above and beyond and gave us additional time to make sure we were comfortable with our sailing skills. By the time we were finished with the course we felt we had the tools and abilities to move forward to the next step in our sailing careers. Value for this course was also great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to take their first step into their sailing adventures. Thanks guys - fair winds and following seas!"
"I recently completed the Basic sailing course. I absolutely loved every minute of it. It was one of the best courses I've been in and I've gone through a ton of training as a retired military guy. The instructors are top notch. Todd was patient, clear and encouraging while the whole time completely on top of the safety factor of sailing. I feel very confident in my sailing skills and ability to manage the potential risks associated with sailing."
"I took the basic sailing course thorough this school. I had never stepped foot on a sailboat before so i figured taking lessons was a good place to start. First of all, Todd has been sailing since the early 1970's so he knows a thing or two. I can confidently say that in 3 days the school taught me the knowledge and skill that I would need to own and operate my own sailboat safely and efficiently. I am extremely pleased with the experience I had with this school. The instructors are professional, relatable and extremely knowledgable. At no time in the course did I feel my money was being wasted. Unfortunately we had a couple lessons where there wasnt much wind. Instead of letting the time go to waste, the instructors used that time to teach things like knots and navigation. These guys are fantastic. Their boats are in good shape. You can tell they are well maintained and they take safety seriously. All in all im really glad i took this class. I will definitely be looking into the advanced course they offer once I feel my skills have developed enough. Thanks Todd, Dale and Louise for helping me cross an item off the bucket list."
"I've attended Bonneville Sailing's sailing seminars, races, and outings for several years. This business is at the heart of our sailing community here and provides a great service to the community. I've had my boat docked on the same dock as the Bonneville sailboats and they're a very friendly, helpful group of people who really know sailing. Many of their former students go on to buy boats and sail here, participate in the flotillas and cruises Bonneville organizes to tropical sailing areas, and some have even purchased boats and gone on to cross oceans. That's the dream, I don't know of a better measure of success for a sailing school. Bonneville is committed to sailing, they even have a non-profit they've started to bring sailing education and experiences to youth groups that may not otherwise get the opportunity. They're also very active in preserving Utah Lake and are often involved in public hearings and legislation to advocate for the lake and sailing community. Highly recommend connecting with Bonneville's email list to get all the updates and information they share in connecting sailors to the community."
