"Have good quality brands but are usually always short staffed so getting help takes awhile. Spent an hour just waiting to look at a range finder, binoculars and knives to get some things for my wife's first hunt and when someone was able to finally help me they didn't know anything about any of it. Google was more help than the employees were."

"Pretty poor selection for ammo and such compared to Cabela's. What they do have in stock is always more expensive too! Not to mention the braindead employees they have working the gun counter who have the audacity to tell me that if I don't like the prices I should shop elsewhere. With pleasure! I'll save my money while I'm at it! Why would I pay more money to be insulted by children?"

"I shop here often in the fall and winter because I waterfowl hunt, and it's the closest place to my home to buy the things I need. They have a bit of everything for the outdoors person. Waders, hiking boots, fishing poles, camping gear, guns and ammo. The staff is ALWAYS super helpful and friendly. I haven't ever had a bad experience here."

"Purchased an ice tent from the riverdale location but decided to return it. Instead of refunding me the money the cashier charged me $700 for the tent a second time. He was about to send me out the door but luckily decided to double check the receipt. Manager was called up to fix the issue but seemed annoyed at the inconvenience to her. The money came out of my account the second I swiped my card but I was told the $1400 dollars wouldn’t be back in my acct for several days. I’m leaving for a trip tomorrow and it would be nice to have the money in my account as it was going to be used on the trip. This store has gotten consistently worse for some time. Always one cashier when it’s busy while other employees mill around the store. Why would you have someone who doesn’t know how to handle their job alone working the front counter on a Saturday going into the holiday season. Unfortunately this is the location closest to my home but I don’t think I’ll be shopping here anymore."

"I generally have good experiences with Sportsman's, but I ordered an ice fishing pole on their website and this is how it showed up in the box. Obviously not 100% their fault, but who thought it was a great idea to have the tip sticking out of the top lol? It doesn't appear to be damaged, but a little more thought going into packaging wouldn't hurt."
