"I came in as an employee, being completely honest. I let them know from the beginning that I didn't have a lot of experience. I was/am still in school and this was supposed to be a part of my student teaching opportunity. I was assured that wouldn't be a problem and they would provide some training as needed. I never received any training (aside from an onboarding powerpoint, that I had to read and go over myself). I was never even told that there was a problem until the day I was let go. Nobody ever came in and watched me teach or gave me any opportunity to correct any negative feedback. I wasn't given any. I even originally told them no that I didn't want to work there because I would be leaving short of the school year and had a pre-planned vacation on the 3rd week of my employment. I was told that would be fine and they still hired me. I was fired while on vacation because of apparent poor student reviews, and told "Since you weren't here to receive coaching sessions and take the necessary steps for improvement" that I'd be let go. Where was my training the first two week of employment? I should never have accepted in the first place as the communication was poor from the beginning."
