"Update 3 Years after my course, this course is a total scam they said they would charge me nothing until I get a job if I signed up for this leif contract. I did. BIG MISTAKE!!!! First Bottega doesn't teach you anything that you couldn't learn yourself in three months. Biggest waist of money looking back on it! Also that leif contract ended up charging me $25,000 because I didn't submit my annual tax forms to them within 30 days. Instead of the 11,000 bottega had promised to charge. DO NOT GO HERE! The good reviews are the ones written by students asked by the teacher like the one I wrote 3 years ago below. `“Is coding bootcamp worth it?” There’s two answers to this question: Yes & no. Yes- It gives an opportunity to obtain new skills for a new career path. If you prep before the bootcamp, you are ready to face it head on! It gives structure on how to learn these different technologies and skills you form. Your eyes are open to a whole different world & it helps rewire your brain to think differently. Solving problems become easier. If you can put in the time and efforts, it is whole heartedly worth it. No- If you’re just looking for a fast career change, this COULD be your way out but do NOT expect an instant hire after bootcamp. If you do not put the work in, it is not for you. If you are expecting the bootcamp to be easy, it will not be. If you love the idea of becoming a developer but don’t love learning, this isn’t for you. If you do not prep yourself before starting or looking into the bootcamp, it’s not for you. If you don’t put the work in, it is NOT for you. I can’t stress that enough.`"

"Do not go here whatever you do! Enjoyed the actual class. Before starting class the recruiter had verbally given me the idea that I would not be responsible for anything unless I received a job as a software engineer. It is their job to find you a job. I was constantly told after class keep applying for jobs, of which I applied to close to 400. Within the first three months after graduating Bottega’s recruiter set me up with two job interviews. One of which requires 3 to 5 years experience, the other one was for a tech stack that they had not even taught me and I did not know. I never heard from a recruiter again, but was sent invitation maybe once a month at the very most for virtual job fairs for companies in Utah. It is year later and still no recruiter from Bottega has reached out with a new job referral 9 months. What they do not tell you is that for the next 10 years if you do not get a job in software engineering you will have a part-time job constantly filling out financial information for your contractual obligation with a company that consistently disconnects your bank account and messed up your information that makes you have almost a part time job with how many times per week you have to correct information you may have already submitted."

"I came to this code school having experience in python development, and I watched many students around me struggle to pick up the programming mindset, but each of those who kept pressing forward, even some extremely anxiously ultimately had a moment in this course where these concepts clicked and the instructors here did a fantastic job of guiding us to that moment, the technical skills taught here were fantastic, I feel like I can build anything now! The real benefit of Bottega however, was how well the different instructors were willing to teach soft skills, the course spends just the right amount of time, teaching us how to live in the software environment, and in how we can interact with fellow developers the best we can. And the job placement team here is great, super accommodating and helpful. and the benefit of lifetime access to the constantly updating curriculum of our course was just one more layer of icing on the cake."

"Bottega offers incredible curriculum through DevCamp. The lessons are very well planned out and are great for anyone with or without experience in programming. However as well intended as they might be, Bottega's lessons are all simply on videos and most of the day is spent watching videos."
