I earned my Bachelors in Aeronautics thanks to their affiliation with Liberty University. I have attended 4 other flight schools in the country (Clovis New Mexico, Lubbock Texas, Sarasota Florida, and Lakeland Florida) and I can say Cornerstone has their stuff together, super impressed. "Like any school, there can be rough patches when you first get started. In the beginning there were some miscommunications, but Cornerstone worked hard on their end to ensure that any bumps were smoothed over. Cornerstone has worked hard to help me grow and accomplish my dreams of becoming a pilot. "After checking with several flight schools to get my PPL I decided to go with CSA due to the friendly atmosphere, previous word of mouth reviews, and the knowledge of the employees and instructors. My first experience was with Maya Goodman as she explained the process of getting the different pilot certificates that I will need to accomplish my goals and took me on my intro flight, from that moment I knew I wanted to fly and this was where I wanted to learn. Maya is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful with getting me on the right track. Then my next encounter was with Robert McGuiness who was my ground instructor. Robert was and is very knowledgeable as well and has a very deep desire to help his students to understand, succeed, and excellence. Ashlee Williams has always been very helpful and friendly with making sure documents are in order and that things get processed smoothly from paperwork to scheduling to payment processing. The one who stands out the most though is my instructor Rainbow Li! She, like her coworkers, is also extremely knowledgeable and doesn't just want you to learn what to do, but to understand the why and theory behind what you do as a pilot. She is very patient and can think of multiple ways to try to teach the same concept to the point of being able to understand it, this is very helpful and important since not everyone learns the same way. There have been many times that I have been frustrated with myself and she keeps a positive attitude and keeps being encouraging and instilling hope. She wants to make sure her students learn how to fly, but not just that, how to do it safely so we can enjoy flying. I could not imagine trying to go through this with any other instructor than Rainbow and the help of the team that she has around her. If you are considering getting into flying and want to learn properly look up Rainbow at CSA. You will not regret it!!!"
