"My son has Autism, and this school is the most fantastic place for him. The teachers and staff push him, but are kind and understanding. He has friends, and feels confident when he is at school. My daughter goes to the High School, she does not like the feel of the big schools, they are just to much for her. It is a magical place for her, a perfect fit. The staff and teachers at the High School and Academy are extraordinary. They do things here that they would not otherwise get the opportunity to do. They offer Intensives, which is a one to two week break from the regular curriculum that allow students to explore and learn different ways to incorporate education and life skills. My daughter did one that was all about confronting fears and the science behind the reactions we have when we are scared or excited. Crew is probably my favorite part of this campus, though. It is a "home base" where students across all grades 9-12 are combined into a family. Crew is a tight knit, supportive atmosphere where your student can feel safe, not matter what else is going on. It is a support system every teen needs in a school. No they don't have sports team, but the students are still allowed to participate in their home school sports teams. As far as charter schools go, there is none better."
