Center for Women's Health: Dr. Misty Wayman, MD

"If you want a physician who would treat your 14 year old daughter and send her home with birth control pills without ever even coming to the lobby to introduce herself to you or to discuss your daughter's care or even what was done at the appointment, then Dr. Wayman is the doctor for you. My daughter has seen her 4 times and I've never seen or met Dr. Wayman. Then, if you are expecting competency in her prescribing abilities, you can forget that too. She wrote a script for a name brand gel called, Nuvessa. The pharmacy didn't carry and they said it was going to cost $230. They recommended I call all the other pharmacies in town. I did and none of them carried it. So I called Dr. Wayman's office back again and when I was finally able to speak to her nurse, Annika, I asked if Dr. Wayman could just write her the generic metronidazole gel, because I know that's a covered medication, she said "I guess we can try that." Then when I get to the pharmacy, she had called in the pill form, not a gel. I honestly have no idea what's going on in that office but my daughter will not be returning. I kept trying to giver her the benefit of the doubt because I understand that direct patient care is tough, but her lack of professionalism and common courtesy is beyond me. Other providers in that office are head and shoulders above Dr. Wayman."

"Doctor falsely reported me for drug use which cause a cps investigation on my family and my newborn baby was removed from the hospital at birth. It was proven that I did not use the drug they reported me for. They didn’t keep the test, they didn’t send it off for further testing, and did not tell me I was being drug tested nor that I failed a test until after my baby was born and removed. Do not use DR. Misty Wayman."

"Dr. Wayman is my hero! She has helped me through some challenging times. I first met her during one of the worst nights of my life. I had a ruptured cyst and internal bleeding and was in the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I had been in the hallway of Mercy ER for approximately 6 hours without pain medication or much of anything really. The male ER doctor didn’t know what to do with me. Thankfully, Dr. Wayman was on call that night and within minutes of them getting her on the phone I was moved to an actual room and given pain medication. An hour or so later Dr. Wayman was performing my emergency surgery. I’ll never forget the relief I felt when she walked into my room and starting talking to me. She is so professional, knowledgeable and compassionate, she put me right at ease. I’ve never trusted a doctor like I trust Dr. Wayman. She has been taking care of me every since. If I could see her for everything, I would. Her nurse Annica is always appreciated too. You’ll be in great hands here."

"Dr Wayman is incredible. She delivered my son via c section and she was a straight up boss in the OR. I recently lost our 3rd baby and she had to do a D&C. She was sooooo compassionate during a time that was really hard for my husband and I. She even personally called to check up on me a few days after the operation to see how I was doing mentally. I’ve never had a dr care so much about how I am doing. If you want an OB that truly cares about you and how you are doing, then Dr Wayman is the perfect Dr for you!"

"Hands down one of the best in her field. She is professional, not afraid to admit when she can't do something, and is ALWAYS warm and kind. I have been dealing with an embedded IUD and she has been incredible with calming me down and talking me through the process. Her nurse (Annica) is amazing as well! If you're reading these reviews because you aren't sure - don't be afraid! You're in good hands! :)"
