Reviews of One Man Band
"This is the “Fun Smiley Face Pancake” from the Kids menu. Isn’t it the most fun pancake you’ve ever seen?! I hate writing bad reviews, but this place is overpriced for the quality of food you are getting. I really wanted to like this place and I’m not usually picky. The setup is a little strange where you get your utensils and everything as well. Even though the cups are (hopefully) fully washed, they are stacked while still wet. And the utensils are just in a bin where everyone’s hands have definitely been in."
"I came here to hang out with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time and catch up over some grub. I ordered a Country Fried Steak – first one I’d had in years. Honestly, it was super mediocre. Under-seasoned steak, super crunchy hash browns, tasteless gravy. But decent eggs and cooked as requested. The guy at the counter and preparing our food was really nice. Good spot for a chat with a friend. Just don’t expect your food to be all that great. But what would you expect. This place isn’t advertised as a foodie’s haven. It’s a one-man show with cheap ingredients and a run-down building."
"We were visiting friends and this restaurant popped up on Google. It was a Sunday and they close at noon on Sundays, so we tried to get there early. Such a cute restaurant, as it's more 50's and 60's themed. You can tell the locals LOVE this place and the employees know who frequent there. So, first, this is pretty much a self serve plac.e we seat ourselves, we grab the menus ourselves, and after ordering we grab our own condiments, silverware, and drinks up front in the corner. So, the way we order is by phone. They answer the phone up front and then when the order is ready we go up, pay and carry it back to our table. Just don't be like us and order for 2 seperate checks. It states clearly on the front of the menu not to do that and ask if it's ok ahead of time. We did not. Oops. Once we got our food it was actually pretty good. I won't say it incredibly, happy moan good, but it was very comfort food, mom and pop good. It didn't look like much at the beginning, but after eating, we filled up fast. We even talked about making another trip down at a later time to try their dinner menu to compare. Definitely go try this place if you get the chance."
"Great ambience. Dying breed of American retro diners. Should preserve these type of eateries. Old greasy hefty meals served. Ambience is awesome. Definitely recommend"
"One Man Band has all the nostalgic brunch diner vibes. Retro decor, table-phone ordering, and great food. I got the Hank's Country Breakfast, and it was amazing! Very hearty and kept me full until dinner. My buddy said his Route 66 omelet was fantastic. If you follow the instructions on the front of the menu, you wont have problems during your visit. If you struggle reading, following directions, or have desires to bring society to its knees by breaking down the establishment in favor of anarchy, then you'll probably have a negative experience. One Man Band is such a fun atmosphere and experience that I'll definitely be back."
