"Give me a good thrift store, and I’ll be there. However, prices at this place make no sense at all. Sad to say, but don’t waste your time."
"I'm usually not one to write complaints about businesses because I understand the importance of ratings and don't want to cause harm. However, when it comes to the owners of this thrift store, who seem to be taking advantage of their customers, I felt it was necessary to speak up. My recent thrift store experience left me disappointed. I went out of my way, driving 20 miles to visit, based on the positive things I had heard. But what I encountered was not at all what I expected. Not only did they inflate the prices of their donated items, but they also fumbled with the tax and 3% credit card fees. This resulted in an unjustifiable $26.33 bill instead of the correct $22.58, which should have covered the accurate tax and fees. Their math skills seem to need some serious improvement. Adding to the frustration, it's baffling that a thrift store imposes an extra 3% charge on credit card payments for items that were generously donated by the community. I even overheard the owner mentioning that all their items come from community donations. Thrift stores are supposed to be synonymous with fair deals, right? Well, this experience shattered that belief. Here's a word of advice: Keep an eye on your wallet if you decide to visit this place. As for me, I'm taking my business elsewhere, where I can trust both the pricing and the service to be consistently reliable. Cost of Items: Workout Shirt: $6 Sleeveless Black shirt: $7 Sweater: $8 Sales Tax: Oklahoma sales tax is 4.5%. Total cost of items = $6 + $7 + $8 = $21 Sales tax = 4.5% of $21 = 0.045 * $21 = $0.945 Credit Card Fee: Credit card fee is 3%. Total cost of items = $21 Credit card fee = 3% of $21 = 0.03 * $21 = $0.63 Now, let's add up the cost of items, the sales tax, and the credit card fee: Total cost of items: $21 Sales tax: $0.945 Credit card fee: $0.63 Total Purchase Amount = $21 (items) + $0.945 (sales tax) + $0.63 (credit card fee) = $22.575 Overcharged: $3.75 Not Cool!"
