"The food was fresh and authentically Italian. Particularly the bread with garlic oil. The gnocchi was okay but over salted and the sauce very rich, I felt it was overpriced for something I could easily make at home. The service was okay but I had to wait 20 min for a table despite making a reservation. Overall the experience was positive but overpriced."
"Another underwhelming dining experience in Salt Lake City. Insalata Mista: nothing mista about it, spring leaves incongruously covered by two slabs of cheese. No carrots, no tomatoes. Piccata di pollo: a strange watery affair, did not taste bad, but never had piccata like this. Panna cotta was the highlight, though small portion. Red wine just ok. And bonkers, pompous prices. It is really hard to understand how this place gets packed on a saturday night."
"Our early Valentine's dinner at the restaurant tonight wasn't as enjoyable as we had hoped. Despite making a reservation, we still had to wait for about half an hour before being seated. Some of the table placements felt awkward, disrupting the flow of foot traffic. Once seated, we were served bread and homemade dip, which was a nice start. However, after ordering our entrees, the waiter abruptly cleared my plate without explanation, leaving us waiting for our main course for about 15 minutes. I opted for the gnocchi with mushroom sauce, which, although okay, lacked flavor (although to be fair, I'm not well-versed in Italian cuisine). As the evening progressed and it neared closing time, the staff began cleaning nearby tables with a strong fragrant spray, which was a bit off-putting while we were still eating. Overall, this was my first experience dining at a fine restaurant, and unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations."
"Our visit started out a bit rough. We had a reservation for 8:30 and didn't get seated till 9. With a 2 year old, that was a bit rough. As far as the food went as close to Rome as we have had since our visit 1 year ago. The Italian hot chocolate brought us right back to the streets of Rome. Our server Eduardo recommended an item not on the menu Pasta Tartuf, a thick noodle in a cheese sauce baked with a crisp Fontina cheese crunch and sliced truffles. For desert, after the 2 cups of hot chocolate, the lemon gelato is a must. What a flavor bomb. Definitely coming back."
"the atmosphere was amazing and the service was incredible. the dessert & appetizers were super yummy, however we were a bit underwhelmed by the actual meal. the pasta was obviously handmade, the texture pillowy and soft. the sauce and meat weren’t overwhelmingly tasty. kind of sad. the dessert was worth the meal."
