"Stopped in coming back from Antelope Island and had a couple of smothered burritos, both were really good and the chips and salsa was solid ... very fresh salsa and if you need some extra kick ask them for some hot salsa from the back. Carne Asada burrito smothered with entomatada was really good. Would stop in again when I'm out that way."

"I have high expectations and El Palmar deserves a 5 star. I went in planning to taste several items. They were very surprised when I ordered 3 meals. The staff is very attentive and the place was very clean. Here is what I sampled: “Sopes” 3 steak with rice and beans 3 chili Verda with rice and beans Meat was good quality Crust was flaky Avacodo was ripe Everything was fresh and made from scratch The beans were a little bland, could use a touch or Birria in them. Hint hint. “Birria Raman” Nice size bowl No starch from the Raman! Good quantity of meat The Birria was definitely stewed all day and must have been an old family recipe. Perfect flavor. Best item sampled! Excellent prices! Birria Raman was only $5.00 They are located less than 1/2 mile from the new West Davis Hwy on Antelope Dr. I highly recommend giving them a visit."

"This was our first time going to El Palmar and we're pleasantly surprised for our first time. The kids meals were a bit small, leaving our kids a bit hungry after eating. Next time, we'd probably not bring them. The customer service was OK. At first, it was good, a bit too quick. They brought chips and salsa, then then took our order for drinks. Once we had our drinks, they were ready to take our order. From the time being sat to order taking was about 3 minutes. Not too bad, but I had no time to look at the menu so I defaulted to what I always get but not really what I wanted. Then after we were finished eating, it took about 10 minutes to get togo boxes and our bill. However, the food was delicious and I would certain come here again. Hopefully the A/C will be working too. I would recommend this place and plan to go back, just don't feel rushed."

"This was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in Davis County! The tortillas were homemade and melted in my mouth. The meat was well cooked and flavorful. The restaraunt was clean and the server was attentive and friendly. If you are looking for ground beef tacos with shredded cheddar cheese, this is not the place for you! This is authentic and fresh!"
