South Weber Elementary

"The staff there are horrendous, don't bother trying to get an answer back from administration. The Principal is the absolute worst. Called the district and the school about a bus driver calling a little black girl the n word along with threatening to spank children. The Driver, David refused to admit the truth and had plead innocent. Conrad took it and nothing else went forward. He also took a kids stuffed animal out of hi hands when the kid was was repeating "hey stop, that's mine!" still continued. Anyways, done with that now on to the teachers. There are AMAZING teachers there don't get me wrong but there are also terrible teachers. All of the fourth grade teachers don't know how to teach and the sixth grade teachers are always super sensitive and yell at their students. Talk about anger issues... But for the good, All of the fifth grade teachers are absolutely terrific (especially, Mrs. Poorte and Mrs. Walton!) Definitely suggest them!! May I say the counselors, lunch ladies, fifth and third grade teachers, librarian, p.e. teacher, music teacher, and computer teacher are all super fabulous! But I do have to say there are enormous amounts of bullying that happens there and nothing is ever done about it! In conclusion; Let's just say if you send your kids here they will have a bad experience but some good memories. The office staff just don't care. (Heidi is fine though!!) Food is okay. And some teachers just don't know how to do their job.... Lots of cons but some positives.. Good luck!"

"I'm gonna call this the NICE people school :) I am very impressed with both the staff and the students that go here, as well as the quality of education. It is a privilege to be part of South Weber Elementary- our kids are very appreciative of it, too!"

"Great elementary school without any kind of gang related parental influence. Every child is treated equal no matter what race or religious beliefs they have. The administration is awesome and they aren't just there for a pay check. They take pride in their work and are there to make a difference in every child that attends. Most of the teachers actually care if your student attends and if they see signs of trouble with school work or even family problems they are quick to help or turn the parent in the right direction in order to get your student the kind of help that is needed. Just a great school without a lot of the bull that you see going on in other schools throughout the state."

"I went there last year for my 6th grade year and can i say i love my 7 year experiace ive gone no where but there i even turned down the offer to a school for students who were above there grade level in almost everything. i just love this school and ALL the teachers in it! i expetialy loved harry potter day mr. wiggil!"
