"Worse experience on self checkout today, I went in trying to purchase some fruit and it said it was 99 cents but little did I know I had to get a coupon for this sale when it was clearly displayed as 99 cents!! I asked the lady working self check out to please take the fruit off and she rudely did that. Then I continued to try and pay for the rest of my food and it didn’t work, I tried to get her attention and she didn’t even look my way. I waited another 5 minutes and still nothing so I decided to leave my groceries because this whole trip for only 5 things took me an hour because I waited in the self checkout line for 30 minutes then had to wait for the lady to help me with the problems at self checkout for another 15. I don’t plan on coming back and normally I respect those who work at customer service but this was just plain ruin and unprofessional. We all have bad days but this was just negligence and something needs to change with getting more self checkouts or having more staff to open up lanes especially on Friday and Saturday evenings."
"This is the second time I’ve been in the store. I walked in produce and needed to use the restroom and to get there was hell. The lines to the registers were so backed up I had to say excuse me like 10 times to make it across the store. The store is huge and super overwhelming. Super loud. It was hard to find stuff. No one was around. Then a lady told me about the app and I was so lost in the store trying to use it. So confusing to me. I’ll stick to having an Instacart shopper deal with this for me"
"I absolutely dread coming to this store and I am not sure why I keep giving it a chance. It’s always crowded with long lines and they are always out of stock. You run in to get something simple like marshmallows and guess what? They are out of stock. If they do happen to have what you are looking for then this long line is what you will deal with."
"I love smiths but HIRE MORE CASHIERS. Got 9 non self checkout lanes and 2 people work them. Most of the times I come here there is a 15 min wait to check out."
"Don’t order cakes from their bakery! Two of my children have birthdays a month apart from eachother and I decided to come here this year for their birthday cakes. I went to pick up my sons cake last month and it was TERRIBLE. It looked awful. The frosting was smeared all over the cake box and lid, the sides of the cake were smooshed up against the lid and the decorations on top were horrendous. The writing looked as if a toddler wrote it. I told them that it was unacceptable and they offered to remake the cake and have it ready for the next day. I went back the next day and the manager offered me $3 dollars off of the original price as a way of saying sorry. The remade cake looked just as bad but I ended up just taking it because we had no other choice as my sons birthday was the next day. We went back for groceries a few days later and they put the original cake out on the shelf for $20, I took a photo of it so I could show my husband. Today was my daughters birthday party and we went to pick up her cake this morning. It looked really beautiful on the outside so I was pleasantly surprised and happily paid the almost $50. The instructions for the cake we asked for were taped to the cake box so I was assumptive that they made it the way we requested. Well we get home and do her party and cut into the cake and the inside is WRONG. We asked for the cake to be a double layer with whipped frosting in between the layers because that’s what my daughter requested…. Simple instructions weren’t followed even though they were right in front of the decorators face. A lot of the bakery employees are rude and not people persons at all. I will be going back for a refund and won’t be ordering cakes ever again from this bakery. The cake looked pretty, yes but it’s the principle of the matter & they didn’t follow simple instructions and that’s not okay especially when I’m still expected to pay full price for the item. Walmart does a better job with sheet cakes & I’ll take my chances with them for our next cake need. I don’t suggest ordering a custom cake from here. I’m just not fond of this store anymore. The lines are insane, too many people come here and the food is subpar to say the LEAST. We repeatedly have problems with Starbucks overcharging us as well and it’s just not worth it anymore."
