"They've had 7 months to correct the discrepancies between what their parent company says vs what they pffer/charge and haven't corrected anything. The director treated my husband and I coldly from the beginning and never introduced herself. She listed off buzzwords but didn't elaborate anything beyond them offering "developmentally appropriate activities" with no examples of what those may be. She seemed annoyed that we were there and we won't be returning or enrolling with them"
"For Pre-K do not take your kid here. Daycare, not a Pre-K. Camera in class so you can watch, they weren’t taught anything. Staff overwhelmed. Ratio 12:1. Kids would just go off and do their own thing to play with toys. Cannot handle the children, none stop screaming."
"I scheduled a tour with them for my 2 month son. I was really excited to get a tour, they were really quick to respond, I scheduled the tour for the following afternoon. Over the phone I was told there were multiple openings for infants, there was free enrollment, 230 a week full time ( I only need part time), they said that was available and the director would give me the price when we arrived. When we got there, we were told there was no room for our son, there was an enrollment fee, more than 300 a week and ONLY full time, no part time. She told us that if we even considered, then we should try the wait list, and said nothing els. Didn’t even get a tour. We spent less than 10 min in there, and I have never been so disappointed, and felt so uncomfortable."
"Absolutely disappointed in our experience with La Patite Academy. It was my 2yr old first day and first time ever in a daycare. By the time we picked him up, they said "he had a hard day and might not be ready for daycare and we can bring him back in a few months. " ... He was nervous and wouldn't eat lunch and spilled his drink, and then was throwing toys and "kept leaving, which is a serious safety violation " first off, he had no idea where he was or what was going on and has no idea about "safety violations" where were the adults keeping him safe? he also didn't eat for over 8 hours? All kids throw things too and what was done to correct the behavior? Unacceptable and straight up negligent on the daycare's behalf. My son was exhausted and wanted nothing other than to snuggle me and his dad once he was home. One day is not enough to determined "he is not ready". I can tell he was treated very poorly and we are glad to NOT be returning nor referring anyone to this Poorcare. Also when asking why we were not notified sooner, they said "he wasn't unmanageable". which obviously he was if he wouldn't eat and now he can't go back. The owner was extremely rude and kept saying "Yea, okay." repeatedly speaking over me while expressing my concern and how this whole day could have gone over a lot better for everyone, had they notified us of any issues going on.. Shame."
"First off the office staff is so friendly! The facility is kept CLEAN so so so clean and doesn't have that odd daycare stench. My son is in the toddler class with Miss Lisa. I've loved her...she gets it. Like when I leave my son she understands how to make that transition easy and is there to hold and comfort him when I say "bye". I also watched him outside the class after leaving and she knotted his blanket for him in this clever way so it wouldn't drag on the floor. I'm loving this place so far! Thanks Amanda Oliver's Momma"
