"They have repeatedly failed to follow district policies surrounding the emergency notification system. They had a lockin. The school failed to notify parents at all. When asked they said it wasn't a drill and they only had 10 minute warning. I was told they'd probably alert parents later. They did not. They did inform my child however that it could have been an active shooter, a dangerous person, or an aggressive dog."
"This school was awful. My son attended 1st grade here and I thought he was doing great in school. My son now in 2nd grade and he is a whole letter grade behind resulting in him having to repeat 1st grade. This school doesn’t care if their students succeed or fail."
"We moved to the area in 2009, unfortunately with our two older kids, we had moved around a lot. When Isabella started Kindergarten in 2011, we were determined to keep her in the same school for as long as possible. We truly love Roosevelt Elementary and how they encourage the kids to reach for their dreams and succeed. This year (2017) begins her 6th grade and we are so happy that she has thrived with the amazing teachers and staff here."
"My kid has gone to a few different Elementary schools. This one is the best. The teachers are amazing and the women in the office are so understanding and sweet. My only complain it that there are constantly parents going up the back driveway making it unsafe."
"I have had kids in Roosevelt since 2011 i absolutely love Mrs Anderson she has taught 3 of my kiddos she is so patient and great with her student! Definitely miss Mrs Kombe she was a very sweet great principle.Mrs Melendez was wonderful! This year has been issues after issues my daughter has a couple health issues that are really serious even turning in her proof from doctors they have lost them countless times she is what is called a spiker she can go to 103 and seizing so when she's sick i have to keep a very close eye on her and in the winter she misses school more her teacher refuses to give her the work she can make up. So this jan 2016 I am there picking up my babies and this teacher starts yelling at me so loud the other parents are staring at me wither look of horror in there face this teacher starts threating me by filing charges at me muy daughter is crying we leave and the principle sweeps the problems under the rug. Then today she ignores hurting my daughter. WHY would a teacher teach such disrespectful ignorant behavior"
