SureStay Plus By Best Western Lawton

"My sister and I took an impromptu trip to Lawton to visit the Wichitas Mountain Wildlife Refuge. We Googled a couple of hotels and chose to stay at the SureStay Plus by Best Western because it was a decent price and looked really nice in the pictures. We arrived late around 10pm and had some trouble finding the hotel. There was no well lit sign with the hotels name and the hotel is nested between a couple of apartment complexes, which also didn’t have lit signs, so it was initially hard to tell which building was the hotel. Once we arrived, we noticed that the outside of the hotel looked a lot run down than the pictures online, but we were hopeful that wasn’t going to reflect the inside of the hotel. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. When we arrived to our room, we noticed an area of the floor was uneven and caused my sister to almost trip during our stay. The outlets in the room were also so loose that we couldn’t even charge our phones. Our cards also stopped working during our 2 day stay and the envelope they gave us had white out covering the last room that was written on it, so who knows how often they replace the cards. Overall, the hotel felt outdated and dirty. We feel like we were catfished. They could defiantly make some minor upgrades like replacing the outlets, hotel cards, shower curtains, etc. to make the place feel a bit nicer."

"Giving 2 stars because the front desk has always been friendly and professional. Other than that, this place is ran down and needs a complete remodel. First off my door card hardly worked. Get into the room, clean, fairly comfortable bed (not the worse) good choice of tv channels, ac good and never froze up. But, being such an old building it's lacking accesable power outlets. The one that was available was a legit retired lot lizard and phone charger would fall right out. Easy, cheap fixes if you have a decent maintenance department. Stayed 2 days and didn't have hot water either day, wasn't cold, but was about room temperature. 2nd night there was a 3 hr power outage. Not their fault since 1/4 of the town had lost power also. Just a common accurate for this town I've noticed. Definitely better than half the hotel options in this town, but still not best Western quality imo."

"It was a pleasant stay. The staff was wonderful. I think I the best thing was hard floors rather than carpet. It stays cleaner thay way. We definitely enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. That was very good!! Thank you everything"

"I read the reviews, and there were a lot of complaints. Yes, it's old and worn down, but I didn't mind it overall! Some of the light switches were funky, but we figured a way around it. We had a maintenance issue, and they showed up in like 3 minutes. Breakfast was always very good in the mornings. The indoor pool was too chilly for us to swim in. Staff was very kind, greeting us every morning. Our unit was on the top floor end, so we didn't hear anything. There was construction, so that was a bit of a bummer. Overall, would I stay here again?? Yes!"

"The staff was very nice. The walls are very thin. The furniture is very beat up and worn out. The indoor pool creates a musty smell throughout the hotel. The super low flow shower head makes rinsing off a chore. We were happy to leave a night early knowing that we didn’t qualify for a refund of the second night. We shouldn’t have cheaped out. We should have paid a little more a lot nicer hotel."
