"I wish they would restore this Oklahoma treasure. The history is really something. You really should have a better write-up about Lillian as well, who was once a rival to Annie Oakley. It's still worth the visit."
"First time to this Historic Place 101 Miller Brothers Ranch. Marland Oklahoma, A great place to learn about past history that affects how steer wrestling was invented by Bill Pickett, and how 101 Ranch was born and ended , 101 ranch was huge in its day exceeding 100K acres , everyone that is history buff or someone that wants to learn about events in life from years gone by evolved , take a trip to 101 Historic area near Marland OK."
"This was an unexpected surprise. There are still some remains of the buildings.. and some actual structures still standing. You will also find history markers surrounding the site. I appreciate that others took time to allow us to look back into our past. It was great for me, to know that I stood at the heart of a 100,000 thousand acre ranch, that was acquired at the Oklahoma Land Run... USA history, my American History, truly became real for me while I walked and stood on the remains of the tile floor that still remains there... history came to life!"
"I've been traveling to Oklahoma for 48 years and never knew this place existed until I stumbled across it on a day-trip Labor Day weekend. The grounds are well kept. The markers tell a story. It would have been great to see the buildings but still a very informative walking tour. Kudos to the volunteers that keep it open and accessible."
"Such history! Combine your visit to the WHERE THE 101 USED TO BE with a visit to the 101 MUSEUM at the Marland Grand Mansion basement. So much available on the history of the MILLER BROTHERS and the 101 RANCH, entertainers and day-to-day life. Site is South of Marland, OK. on Ranch Rd. Farther South is Cowboy Hill cemetery. Even further on is another burial site of the 101's most famous entertainers."
