Reviews of Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza
"Historic plaza for Route 66 with a great sculpture and history placards."
"If you're ever in the area, come and visit this historic place. You can see the old route 66 that passes right through this area and take a stroll across the river under the cover street."
"Nice site to stop at along Rt 66. So much history here. See the huge East meets west sculpture. Think of the symbolism it entails. Man on horse almost wrecks a man and his family in a comfortable car. RT 66 brought the country together."
"Very nice historic bridge on Rt. 66. The old bridge is closed but you can walk on the new road bridge as well as the walking trail to the other side to see the neon signs."
"What a simply beautiful set of sculptures! My son-in-law took us there as one of the sites that needed to be seen during our visit to Tulsa. It was cold, but thankfully we were the only ones there so we could explore up close. The detail on these things was beautiful. Check out the grill on the automobile for some roadkill. To be honest, I did not read any plaque so I have no idea what the statues were for Other than to represent the people of Oklahoma."
