"Just played this course the first week of July 2022 at 102 degree weather and the fairways were well cut and clean and the greens were green and very soft which made for slow putts. The fairways are very forgiving and a very well played course. Very happy to have played here and will definitely play it again."

"I have driven by this course a couple of dozen times over the years. I have always wanted to play it. I finally made time to play 9 holes on my way back to California. I was able to tee off just after 11 one recent morning. It looked like there may have been one other group on the course when I teed off. It was about 94 and humid, but typical July Texas weather. I played the front 9 and the course was in great shape. Great fairways when I hit them and even better greens. They were slower, but beautiful greens. I played from the blue tees and it seemed every tee shot was into the wind. I’m looking forward to my next trip through Childress. This is a must play course. If you’ve never played it, you owe it to yourself to play it. Next time it will be 18 holes for me. The staff was very accommodating to me. Another good reason to play this course. It gets 5 stars from me."
