Tandy Education Center

The Tandy Education Center is a cutting-edge institution located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. This $6.4 million facility, funded by the Tandy Foundation, features the latest advances in medical simulation technology, providing students with lifelike training scenarios using models or virtual reality. With 16,000 square feet of space, the center includes exam rooms, intensive care unit/emergency rooms, consultation rooms, debriefing rooms, and a multipurpose training room for standardized patients.

This state-of-the-art simulation center will benefit students from various medical programs, as well as practicing healthcare professionals in the Tulsa community. It is anticipated that approximately 1,000 healthcare professionals will utilize the center annually for training and certifications. The Tandy Education Center is a key component of the planned joint School of Community Medicine between the University of Tulsa and the University of Oklahoma, aimed at addressing healthcare disparities and physician shortages in Oklahoma.

With a focus on community health and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Tandy Education Center will play a crucial role in advancing medical education and improving healthcare outcomes in the region.
