"I typically do not write reviews for doctors because quite frankly good physicians are getting harder to find in today’s time. But for this doctor I had to make an exception. Dr. Newnam is one of best doctors that I have been to in a long while and is exceptional in his field of study. He and his clinical nurse Kaleigh are extremely caring and Dr. Newnam does his absolute best to try and actually help his patients not just send them on their way with no answers. I have been battling with a sleep disorder presumably since I was a child and have never felt well rested. I had been to multiple doctors and never got any help until I went to OHI. Dr. Newnam has gotten me on a medicine regiment that although hasn’t cured it has dramatically changed the way that I sleep and feel throughout the day. We are still trying to find optimal doses for me because I am a fast metabolizer but overall I feel much better. For the first time ever I actually feel rested when I sleep and have the energy to get through the day. I do still have days where I do not sleep well but I think that’s everyone from time to time. But to put it into perspective before being treated by Dr. Newnam and his staff my Epworth sleepiness scale was at like a sixteen or seventeen and now I am down to like a seven or eight which I am truly thankful for. I also used to take two to three naps a day and now I do not take any at all on a normal basis which is awesome. One last thing that I wanted to give Dr. Newnam a shout out on is that he truly listens to his patients and ALWAYS TAKES INTO CONSIDERATION WHAT HIS PATIENTS WANTS. He actually spends more than five minutes talking to you unlike most doctors and actually explains the details to you so you actually no what’s going on. He also doesn’t just disregard what you say and treat you like you don’t have a voice in your own health care. So I wanted to personally thank him for being the exception :) And lastly, his practice also participates in MyChart which makes messaging your doctor and requesting refills so easy and convenient. And in regards to that, I also want to shout out to Dr. Newman nurse and clinical staff. Every time I send a message through Mychart she is so quick to respond and jumps right on the ball with whatever you need. So thank you for that and always being so helpful. All in all Dr. Newnam and his nurse are a Godsend from Heaven and I am truly thankful that GOD lead me to him after all these years of suffering and unrestful sleep. He is a very intelligent and caring physician and most importantly will work diligently on your particular case to do whatever he can to help you sleep better and live a normal healthy life. I highly recommend Dr. Newnam and OHI for all your sleep care!"

"Dr Newnam okay I was nervous about getting a new Dr for narcolepsy with cataplexy. I moved here from California and I was seening the world specialist of narcolepsy I have severe cataplexy attacks and lots of doctors and people have no idea about cataplexy they know about narcolepsy just not cataplexy. It’s a very debilitating condition cataplexy is caused by emotions like laughing love of my children cause it for me alot I become full body paralyzed for several minutes cannot move anything can’t open my eyes or speak it’s hard for me to breathe. Dr Newnam viewed my MSLT and seen that my narcolepsy is severe.
