"Dr Coman diagnosed me with IST from a post viral infection (from West Nile) at this facility in Tulsa OK. I moved to the East Coast and went to the VA in Philadelphia, the doctor there rediagnosed me to POTS, no table tests or EKG, nothing. He told me Dr Coman was a student of his and strongly hinted that is why he changed it. Once I got employment with health benefits I went to a cardiologist at Morristown NJ and long and behold, my diagnosis is IST. Dr Coman, you surpassed the teacher. And you were right, IST did go away: a little after 5 years no more beta blockers like you had said since it became so mild I can handle it and not have to deal with the side effects from the beta blockers which allowed me to pursue running again, and about year 6 or 7 heart feels like its old self. You’re awesome thank you for your care and making sure to find my diagnosis and assuring me it won’t cause damage nor would I die from it, and explaining why I need to up my salt intake because initially it sounded bizarre, for giving me the proper treatment for what I actually have and letting me know that I can wean off of the beta blockers to smaller doses as the years past and eventually I can be off of them when it was time. Dr Coman cared about getting me the care I needed and did not hesitate to speak with me, he was confident I wouldn’t have to stay on meds forever, it’ll go away and he was right. I hope you see this. I had to share the Philly experience because ego got the best of his judgement sadly. You’re a great doctor thank you!"
"Dr. Coman was great, no signs of AFib. I appreciated his bluntness and his humor. Everything he said would happen did just the way he said."
"Good Doctor. Knows what he is doing. I am very impressed with Dr. Coman He took the time to explain what was going on. He was very personable and friendly and responded to my questions in a patient manner. I highly recommend him to anyone that has irregular heart beat."
"I hope no one else experience what I went through with this doctor. It is all about work it is not personable you are a number to this place not to mention the day that I had surgery I was took into the surgery room strap down to the table with my anxiety and claustrophobia and then was made to wait for 30 Minutes on the doctor to arrive. When he did finally arrive he walks around my head and said have a nice sleep went around and started cutting on my groin before I was administered any medication the anesthesiologist had to ask if she could administer medicine for my pain all the while being strapped to surgery table and not able to move I was knocked out for A short time but I woke again in the middle of surgery while they were in my heart it was one of the worst moments of my life. I would not recommend this doctor I wouldn’t even go to my follow up appointment the procedure did not work for me and now I have to search out another physician and I have to go through the procedure all over again"
"Dr. Coman has terrible patient skills. He attempted an ablation on me, damaged my AV node but left the accessory pathway untouched. He either lied to me that he fixed it, or he was ignorant of his mistake. He tried a second time, aborted the procedure and I never heard from him or his office again. I had to go to OU Med center to get a pacemaker to fix his damage."
