"My sister-in-law had a valve replacement, a repair of her aortic arch & other serious things done by Dr. Michael Phillips at Oklahoma Heart Institute. Since her recovery period, she is up running around like nothing was ever wrong. Prior to my SIL's surgery by Dr. Phillips, my mother used Oklahoma Heart Institute when she recovered from a stroke and heart attack. She did so well that afterward she was featured on the news about the care Oklahoma Heart gave her & the great recovery to a normal life they had given her. I'm happy both of my loved ones had their experiences. I went to Dr. Blackmon, the best Orthopedic Surgeon in the world, right next door to Oklahoma Heart Institute. He did an X-Ray on me as I kept having pain in my shoulder and lower back. From just two X-rays he not only found that I had a torn rotator cuff but also a serious calcification on my descending artery & a bladder full of kidney stones! I had just seen my cardiologist at St. John's two weeks before who said I was doing great. He did no X-rays or tests to confirm this and made me an appointment for next year. Kudos to Dr. Blackmon for seeing the torn rotator cuff & finding the source my my intense back pain (mega stones in the bladder) but more importantly he found something that could possibly end my life; a calcified descending aorta. I thank you Dr. Blackmon. You are awesome & I followed your advice. I will be seeing Dr. Phillips at Oklahoma Heart on Wednesday, to find out how he can fix up my sick vascular system! I know the cause, due to another doctor also at Oklahoma Heart Institute; Dr. Christian Hanson, an excellent & very astute endocrinologist who takes his patients seriously; a rarity these days. He did simple blood tests that unraveled a 30 year mystery for other doctors. My parathroids over-produce & most likely my adrenal gland(s) do too. He is genius & I highly recommend him to anyone who may have unknown causes of the symptoms they have, as I did. In fact, I highly recommend these doctors and their staff members that keep everything running. You will not be disappointed by using Dr. Hanson, or Dr. Blackmon (even though he is not with Oklahoma Heart). Both have most likely saved my life! To top it off, I have to say, it all began with my brand new, but very intelligent & caring, PCP, Dr. Goldameir Akingbola at Ascension Medical Group who sent me to Dr. Christian Hanson at Oklahoma Heart & to Dr. Blackmon, although I was already an established patient. Cross your fingers & please pray for good things for me!"
