"Do not miss . The video in the Visitor's Center is Excellent. So much history and information here. A small museum shares the history and artifacts. Rangers will engage and answer questions. Walking trails to see tribe's locations, etc. Well worth the stop."
"The Washita Battlefield Visitor Center is a hidden gem! The National Park Service staff was very friendly and helpful! The center itself is beautiful and full of art and history! I appreciated the visit more than I thought I would. I highly recommend visiting here if you are in the Cheyenne area! Nearby, there are hiking trails on the actual battlefield with informative stops along the way. The prayer cloths placed all over are very humbling. Overall, well worth the visit here!"
"I really enjoyed my visit to this historic site. The visitor center has a museum and film that do an excellent job at explaining the importance of this historic event. The museum has some great displays and interpretive materials that provide a lot of firsthand accounts of the battle. Additionally, there are numerous artifacts. If you're interested in learning about all sides of American and Native-American history this site is definitely worth your time."
