"Going to the doctor can be a nervous thing for a person when they are going for them to figure out what illness that you have. Doctor David Chaar made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through this process. Hands down one of the greatest doctors I ever had to be examined by. Doctor Chaar is a very caring person that takes pride in serving his patients."
"Dr Al-Rifai is AMAZING! He did a great job of making my 13year old daughter feel comfortable while explaining everything to my Wife and myself. He saw my Son first, years ago and diagnosed him when others missed it. We are extremely satisfied with him AND his staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"
"Nurse Practitioner Wanda, displayed genuine compassion and empathy. It is evident that she cares not only about my physical well-being but also about my overall health and quality of life. This compassionate approach made a significant difference in my overall experience as a patient."
"My daughter is 20 but due to her disability has the mentality of much younger. Shes very shy and apprehensive in the medical area due to her extensive testing through out her life. It was time for her routine EEG and as usual we made her appt and appeared and the tech was NOTHING but RUDE. She never introduced herself when she came to get my daughter. I was never told before I could not accompany my daughter, yet this time with NO consideration of the disability/situation SHE told me this was HER rule and proceeded to take my daughter back. This is how individuals fall prey to this sick world. Stand up for your children. Don’t let people manipulate and bully you around. You have a right to protect yourself and your children. If you have rules for this situation that disregards you inappropriately being in a room alone with a child or someone with special needs that has no one to advocate for themselves, maybe you should post that. But that would hurt business wouldn’t it. You’d rather bully them into feeling they have no alternatives. Well I do and so does my daughter. And then you want to slam stuff around in the room because your mad I was allowed to sit outside the room. Perfect example why you have to advocate. Your professionalism has to extend past stressful situations. Your in patient care. If you don’t have a heart or conscious for each situation and patient individually as to THEIR needs, then your in the wrong profession. Admin did introduce himself and was very kind to find a compromise I was very pleased and he took the time to listen and look for a solution instead of stating as the EEG TECH these are my rules. We have been coming here since approximately 2006 and unfortunately 1 person ruins it for many. Staff is unfortunately an extension of the Dr’s and they give them and the business a bad reputation."
"PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!!! Unfortunately, most of the neurologists in the southern Oklahoma and North Texas area are part of this practice. If you see any of these doctors and they give you a diagnosis, please get a second opinion outside of this practice. I am in my early 50s and had a sensory issue and was hospitalized. I was told I had the beginning stages of MS and would never fully recover. They were going to start me on MS treatments if I had another episode. After speaking with several other doctors in this area (Sherman) I was told this practice, Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders, was known for over-testing and over-diagnosing their patients. I was advised to get a second opinion outside of this clinic. I went to UT Southwestern and was treated by a well-respected and nationally known doctor who informed me I do NOT have MS or the beginning stages of MS. He said healthy adults in their 50s do not wake up with MS and I showed no signs of this disease. I asked why I was told this by the doctors in my area and he said because the more tests you have and the more medicine you take the more money they make. This doctor did not know I had been told the same thing before meeting with him. On top of this, you are not able to call the local office (Sherman) directly. You have to go through so many prompts, and you never speak to a live person. You can leave messages and they never get returned. Most of your calls are directed to a call center overseas. I tried to cancel an appointment 3 times by leaving messages. I finally reached someone, and they confirmed my appointment was canceled. However, I received a call a few days later reminding me that I had an appointment coming up. The same appointment I had canceled three times. I cannot stress enough to find another office to use. However, if you do use any of these doctors, please get a second opinion if they give you a diagnosis of any kind."
