"Dr Mark Allison was rude, rushed and cut me off when I tried to talk or ask questions. Place was a mad house and I had to fight to find somewhere to sit, for over an hour. Reception and staff were nice."
"I had asked to speak to a manager and was to receive a call. Never got a call from manager so this just reiterates what I what I feel and have to say. I had cataract surgery a year and a half ago, cost thousands of dollars with insurance, I get it since I work in the medical fields as well. What’s frustrating, my eyes are not any better. Went back told them my sight is cloudy. I was told it has to get worse before insurance will pay, horrible answer. Fast forward they did the yag or yak zapping on my eyes recently, the day of the procedure I received a phone call and was told it wld cost me 750 an eye, I said cancel it I don’t have that, then was told if I did it in their office instead of the surgery center it wld be 450 and eye, still said cancel, lastly I was told I cld self pay for 350 an eye. Now 700 later they still are not better. Went in last week for check up from procedure told them my sight is still foggy, they asked if I was using drops, I said yes, asked what drops and told them the ones they sell and using them twice a day. Was told to up them to 4 times a day even though he doesn’t see I have a dry eye issue. When I checked in, receptionist said no copay for that days service, today, Saturday, I get a text saying I owe them 72 and some change. Curious why since still no resolve and all they did was schedule me for another six months out. So basically since my original cataract surgery, let’s see how your eyes are in 2-1/2 to 3 years, if we need to zap your eyes again in 6 months, we can go deeper. Shame on this office, dragging it out while my eyesight is getting worse. This is my first bad review I have ever left, bottom line did not feel like they care or that my sight isn’t important to them."
"Thank you all who assisted me with an eye issue. The staff and dr treated me well. I needed help pronto and the dr did all she could to help promote healing. Thank you Dr for your professionalism and care. Your staff was great also. You all are most appreciated."
"I was referred out by another optometrist to do some more testing here and I will never go back. The front desk was great, but the rest of my visit made me feel like a waste of time. I wasn't waiting long before a Dr., not a tech, came and got me from the waiting room. Dr. Allison made sure everyone knew that I would be a "quick visit," and we went into a room were he did a reaction test with a light before a tech could even join us. After the tech came in, neither her or myself really spoke as Dr. Allison did enough for the both of us. When I did get to speak, he winked and nodded his head as if he didn't care or believe what I had to say. His condescending attitude regarding my care from my psychiatrist and my other optometrist were unprofessional. During what I can only refer to as his ego boosting speech, he wouldn't allow me to put my glasses on to see him clearly. When I tried to I was given a harsh "don't put those on," even though it was clear to me that he did not plan on giving me the tests I was referred there to do. He furthered my discomfort by continuously tapping/touching my hands or legs in what I assume to be an effort to emphasize his points to me. It seems to me like Dr. Allison had made his mind up that I was a waste of an appointment and used the excuse of "getting me out of there" as a reason to ignore my concerns. It felt as though he allowed his ego to determine what care I had a right to receive and I have never felt so dismissed by, not only a doctor, but by another human being."
