"I made an appointment online for my 96 year old grandfather to see Dr. Robin Gonzalez. The website said she specializes in geriatrics, and my family was excited to finally find a local PCP for him. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that Dr. Gonzalez was not taking any new patients. That was a bit odd since we made an appointment online, and it stated in clear terms that she was accepting new patients. The receptionist then told us that no doctor at this location was taking new patients. That seemed a bit funky. I heard another staff say in the back, "Oh that's the 96 year old." That's when it became clear-- these doctors don't want a 96-year old new patient dying on their roster. I get it, I guess. It seems pretty cruel, though. Anyway, we didn't make a fuss and left. So, while it says Dr. Gonzalez specializes in geriatrics, there is apparently an age range. If you're too old, they probably won't help."
