Little Light House
About the Business
Little Light House is a tuition-free, Christian school located at 5120 East 36th Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We provide educational and therapeutic services for children with special needs and their families. You can support our mission by donating to Mini-Laps, where your $30 monthly donation will give a child thirty minutes of care at our school. Since 1972, we have helped thousands of children improve their speech, physical, perceptual, and sensory integration skills while providing support to their parents. Our goal is to help children and families overcome limitations and grow in confidence. By giving to our organization, you can help us continue to make a positive impact on the lives of these children. Join us at Mini-Laps, our annual event where we celebrate the achievements of our students. Your support is greatly appreciated as we continue to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs and their families.

"Not many things in this life rise to the level of "noble." But what The Little Light House (LLH) does day in and day out--and has now been doing for 50 years--definitely qualifies as noble. They provide best-practice therapy and education for children with special needs age six-years and younger--and they do it without charge to the families of these beautiful children. (The cost per child is close to $30K per year; the LLH raises this money from a very supportive community.) Unconstrained by insurance dictates, they are able to bring together therapists from a range of disciplines, special-education-certified educators and state-of-the-art technology in and out of the classroom to help these lovely children reach--and often exceed--their potential. I regularly hear about LLH children reaching milestones in their development--communicating, walking unassisted, feeding themselves--that professionals have told their families they would never achieve. The children are not the only beneficiaries; the families receive much-needed guidance and are embraced by a warm-hearted community of other families facing similar challengers. This all takes place in a Christ-centered environment where the mission is "to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families and their communities." Nevertheless, LLH services are available to ANY child and their families regardless of their faith or lack thereof. LLH has become a model center-of-excellence for educators and health-care professionals around the world, and that is no exaggeration. I often hear LLH staff claim, "I have the best job in the world!" I also hear LLH referred to as "the happiest place on earth." If you wonder at such statements, you should pay a visit to LLH to see for yourself. LLH offers free Community Lunches (these are NOT fundraisers) each month that will allow you to tour the facility, hear from LLH families, and see first-hand what has made such an impression on me."
"This place is amazing if I was special needs I would want to go it’s one of the best special needs school in the United States. I have extensively explored several different schools around the country none Superseded my expectations besides the little white house. The little light met my expectations of a special needs school. I give them 5 stars Special needs SP-VIP stars. I have yet to see a better special needs school for kids. Thanks for being my inspiration and setting the bar high for other Christian based schools."
"Our family is so grateful for the support and love that the staff and volunteers give to our family. They truly are each a blessing to us."
"Teacher's disrespected and abused on every level,, much more so than public schools. CEO engages in rampant nepotism, employing 3 direct family members. LLH requires accredited college degrees of employees yet Executive Director has no college degree! If you as a highly educated professional wish to work for an uneducated Executive Director who will verbally, emotionally and spiritually abuse you The Little Light House is the right career choice!"
"LLH is a great place with a great mission and vision. They help out children with handicaps to have a place to go and grow while in the pre-school years. The developmental help they offer the families of these children is priceless. My children have all volunteered here and really enjoy going and helping and the rewards of helping children is wonderful."
