"If you're interested in welding and you learn hands on, go to Tulsa Welding School! Just ask questions and they are happy to help. I went to the campus in Tulsa, OK. From start to finish I never had a problem. it was an awesome experience! When I first got there I was immediately welcomed and Lakin helped me get started as well as answered any questions I had, one of the kindest people you will ever meet! The school gives you basically everything you need to get started as a successful welder and any issue or problem that I had, all I had to do was ask and it would be resolved. The instructors are great but don't expect them to hold your hand and be right next to you the whole time, they got a bunch of students they are teaching at the same time, be patient and ask questions and you'll get the help you need. As long as you put in the effort and time, you shouldn't have too much of an issue getting through it. The school is great and I recommend it to anyone looking to get into welding. Only complaint I have off the top of my head is people suck at parking but thats not the schools issue and theres not much you can really do about that."
"This school is honestly a waste of time it is not a LEGIT certification . It’s just a training . It’s like getting the perfect attendance award. Your wanna be 20k in dept for a pointless paper."
"I went to school here for their professional Welders Course. I had my gi bill luckily and I was approved for fasfa also and the school will help you get signed up for everything. The course itself was pretty well taught, they give you a good base set of skills to expand on out in the field."
"EDIT: This is regarding the Jacksonville,Fl campus(I think. Maybe their enrollment personnel are for all campuses), so I can’t speak for any other locations. Never even attended. This place appears to be all about your money. Or at least the person I communicated with was. Was reluctant to communicate via text or email(can’t prove it but it was as if having documentation of statements/assurances made the person apprehensive). The only info I could get was about the enrollment period that starts next month. When I asked about the one after that they told me they don’t know when it will be. I need to plan my schooling around work but it seemed the persons goal was to meet a quota for this current enrollment period and would not provide help/info that benefitted my planning instead of their pay. Ask questions before spending money. Make sure you communicate via text or email to document. If they keep pushing phone calls don’t relent. Then see how you feel about the organization."
"You know I have sit here and read all these reviews. And what I get from it is some of you sound like you need somebody to hold your hand. I came into Tulsa welding school never welding a day in my life. Never even seen a welder for that matter. I have stayed on the presidents honor roll and the Dean's List throughout the whole entire time I have been there. I'm 6 weeks away from graduating and I am going to the AOS program afterwards. The instructors here or absolutely amazing.. I have learned so much now there's times where I wanted to quit because it got hard. But I had different instructors and Lead instructors right there pushing me. I love the school. I've heard a lot of negative things about the school but one thing that was always told to me and it will always stick out is you get out of the school what you put into the school. So if you're not ready to be there everyday welding then it's probably not time for you to be there yet but if you're ready to learn how to weld and go on to making bigger and better things with your life then by all means this is the school for you. But since it is such a short time you have to be there every day. Even just one day missed can put you behind. I've already got a job offer for $40 an hour. And $100 a day per diem. Thank you Tulsa welding school!"
