"The Burn/Wound Unit is beyond amazing. The entire staff are the most kind, attentive and encouraging I have ever experienced. The nurses, techs, aides and even housekeeping gave superior care to my Mom on two different hospital stays. They are knowledgeable, professional and vigilant. Dr.Lentz, while being an excellent surgeon, was also wonderfully kind and caring as my ninety-one year old mother was spending her last days in his care. "The burn center was outstanding after taking our son to the emergency room for a second time after he was sent home the first time with 3rd degree burns and told to come back in two weeks. He is a diabetic with no one to care for him. On the second time Dr. Lentz admitted him with infection in his burns after only five days. They were amazing in the burn center with caring nurses and wonderful care. He spent two weeks in there with one surgery and sent home with family. The staff explained to us how to care for the wounds and grafted areas. He is healing nicely and we appreciate the burn center so much for saving his life with their caring and compassionate nursing abilities."

"A male nurse used an ultrasound to give me an I.V. line. It took him about 8 mins. to get it going after a couple pokes then once in he moved it around so much I actually teared up. After I left Baptist and went home the I.V. site kept hurting instead of getting better. 3 days later I awoke to find my arm was swollen, running fever, was extremely red and had a hard ridge running down my arm. Came to S.W. Medical and they admitted me on a thursday today is Wednesday and still here. That male nurse which by the way had no bedside manner caused me to have blood clots in my arm. I had originally went to Baptist for hypertension. Now being treated for hypertension and the blood clot. Not a great experience. Still in hospital now going on a week. But all other staff was great, just that male nurse didn't know how to put I.V.'s in."

"If I could rate this hospital at a half a star or no star at all I would. Worst experience I have had at a hospital thus far. I took my 6 month old daughter because she had a persistent fever going on a week now. The lady who worked the front desk was rude, and then man who dismissed us by just giving us a number and said they would call us in a min. We get to triage and run a couple tests. Nurse seems disinterested in what is going on with my child. The nurses acted if she wasn't sick and only seemed to care that she was cute and all babies get sick. After the nurse left, we continued to wait in triage for 45 min( with a screaming crying baby mind you), just to have another nurse come in and move us to ANOTHER triage room. We asked when the Dr would be in which she responded "I don't know" and just dismissed us. We let her know we would be going to ANOTHER hospital as this was nothing but a huge disappointment and my daughter got absolutely no help. This place is AWFUL! Don't bring your kids!"
