"Student here, the schools alright I guess but the teachers/principals ain't great. there's an active drug trade but they're too worried about blocking games on our MacBooks to care about that, and the teachers/principals are notorious for not respecting people with IEPs. If you are LGBTQ+/Disabled/mentally ill/jewish you'll face intense harassment here most likely. But hey, at least we have Mr Vavyious's deranged Cheeto rants and choir shenanigans."

"My daughter has had an amazing experience at this school. The teachers and administrators really care about the kids. It also seems as though the longevity among the staff is far greater than some of the other middle schools in Norman. They love teaching there and it shows."

"Front office is fantastic. If you child has a chance to get Ms.Wahpepah, Mr. Gunnels, or Ms.Baez they need to take it. I have had excellent experiences with these three teachers. They communicate very well with parents and are quick to answer questions."

"I went to Irving and had one of the best experiences I could at a middle school. This was also back in 1998-2001, but some of my best academic years were spent here. We learned valuable life lessons, we met with a holocaust survivor, we had many educational trips that were hands on. I know it's not the greatest looking school, but the teachers care so much for their kiddos. They built lasting relationships and had such a profound effect on so many."
