"This is my 2nd year at Whittier and everything is great the teachers are great they don’t mess around they want the children education to come first before games on the MacBooks. Everyone of the adults wants you to be safe, and they want you to be smart and become a new leader one day. Whittier is great with kids not go fight because if someone sees it they will tell one of the adults and then the adults will deal with it. I think in my opinion that Whittier Middle School is a great school to go to when you are going to middle school."

"My years at Whittier were very enjoyable. I felt prepared and ready whenever I left after my 8th grade year. The school really knows how to have fun with the kids. Although the activities were fun, the teaching wasn't. Yes, there were attempts at making the education slightly a bit more interesting, but most of the time, epically in my 7th and 8th grade year, I felt lost. Some teachers don't have much control over their class, or even worse, cannot teach the subject well. And like a saw in another review, gossip about the children is becoming bigger. The school is nice and all, but there are definitely things that need to be fixed. Simple things."

"Great middle school. School makes accommodations directed towards each student's individual needs. (For example, if a student struggles in reading, or another subject, the school will place the student in a homeroom directed towards the subject, insuring their progress. ) Counselors are very experienced and will advocate for any needs a student might have. This middle school had the highest average student grade out of all of the four municipal middle schools in the Norman district. Teachers are very empathetic at Whittier, and will help to insure student progress. The administration, while disciplining students, will be empathetic to parent/student/teacher needs. Head Master is very experienced, and sympathetic."

"Whittier Middle School has been a great transition for my 6th Grade daughter. She likes her classes and enjoys her teachers. She is accelerating in her classes and still maintaining her straight A's like she had in elementary school. She is also playing in the band for the first time and loves playing percussion. I think the office staff is very kind and helpful. Thanks for welcoming my girl to Whittier!"

"I rather not recommend this school because the staff is horrible and doesn't teach well at all. Although Whittier has good students, they do have some bad teachers. Especially in 8th grade. They give the students to much work and its unbelievable how much work my kids got. You might ask some students... "Is Whittier a good school" Most of them will probably say no!"
