"I've been seeing Dr. A for over a year and my I can honestly say my mental health has never been better. I'd never felt like my concerns were taken seriously before Dr A. He is a medical doctor, not a psychologist or counselor, and as such has the knowledge and experience to help find the right balance of mental health medication. It took several months to find that balance, but everyone is different and that's part of the process. Visits are short, but he listens and observes a lot in that time. Wait times are short and the staff is great."

"My wait times are never long, my last appointment I was seen before my scheduled time and out 10 minutes before I was even scheduled to be there. I don’t feel like I’m a new patient every time I enter his office. He asks me how things are going with other issues I have. Because he doesn’t take soonercare and soon I will lose my BCBS, I will have to search for another psychiatrist…. I am actually sad because I’ve been able to discuss what medications have caused or don’t cause or that they make me too tired and he changes them. He always greets with a smile and addresses me by my name. His nurse Stacey is a sweetheart. I see another doctor in the clinic so I’m familiar with some of the staff at the desk. They’re always friendly. Even when you can tell they’re having a Monday kind of Wednesday."

"Our healthcare/sick care system is a joke... there are still a few good compassionate, doctors with common sense but man, they are hard to find. My loved one has been seeing Armendarez for about 6 months and he is just being used as a lab rat. If doctors and especially psychiatrist would actually listen to the patient,(the whole reason for an appt) they might get people feeling better much sooner instead of feeling worse. After switching meds around each month for 6 months, the 1 medication that was actually helping, he took him off of it... ??? Last thing, I don't understand how Armendarez (and many other doctors) won't even think about prescribing something like Valium, which has been around for many years and can be very beneficial with low side effects but are more than ok to prescribe new meds with horrible side effects, low benefits and crazy expensive. There are risks and benefits with all medications. That's why individualized care is so important. And I would think it would be beneficial to at least recommend therapy or counseling, he might actually find out what the patient really needs..... sorry it's so long. I feel for anyone searching for a new dr. Or psychiatrist. There are only a few good ones left Just don't give up looking for the one that is best for you."

"Writing this review on behalf of my husband, we saw Dr.A today for the first time, the wait to go back was barely 10 mins, went in to meet and talk with doctor. He was great, very caring and helpful. Highly recommended! Everyone in the building we encountered was pleasant, love that we could even pick up my husband medication all in one place!"
