"I have never in my life been greeted by someone so happy. I walked in and was welcomed by the super sweet owner. He made the atmosphere extremely pleasant and enjoyable. His food and service were perfect!"
"Tried Athens twice now. Food is fresh and delicious, the service is wonderful. The other guests that came in while we were eating were also friendly. Had a couple nice conversations with both guests and Ali, the cook. Athens is becoming a regular lunch stop for us."
"Ordered the Philly and Gyro sandwich. Philly was decent but the gyro sandwich was really good (first time having gyro too). Owner was super nice and had a very cheerful attitude. Atmosphere was nice. Overall highly recommend you try this place, will definitely be coming back for more."
"We have been to Greece a few times and Omar by far has the best Pita bread!! We found this place by chance but were glad we did! Super friendly service and great food! You wont be disappointed!"
"Finally open for business. I drive past here several times a day, everyday. I believe COVID had delayed their grand opening for months. Now they have been open for 2 weeks, I dropped by to check them out. Place is small and clean. Very limited seating. I was the only customer there at 11am. Furnishings still very basic and sparse. I have seen food trucks fancier than this place but that should change with time as they add decorations. Let's just say this is not a place to impress a date unless they are a foodie. This place is pretty much another hole in the wall joint I like to review. Menu is pretty basic with nothing mind blowing. Phoenicia in Houston is the gold standard for Mediterranean food, check them out if you ever visit Houston. Today I ordered their gyro platter. Comes with gyro meat, rice, pita bread, tzatziki sauce and a side salad. Gyro meat was shaved off their little rotisserie and heated up on their grill along with the pita bread. This was served over the top of the rice option. You could get fries instead of the rice but I am staying away from deep fried stuff as much as I can. The meat was crisped up nicely on the grill and the bread was warm. Tzatziki sauce was good. The side salad was fresh and served with a balsamic vinaigrette. This worked was a good complement to the gyro meat. I believe nothing was homemade except maybe the rice. I was disappointed by their lack of a signature item to make them stand out. No stuffed grape leaves or stuffed cabbage. Just basic gyro items. They did do well with what they were serving so if you want a gyro, that's all they really have and they do a good job of it."
