"Don't even bother wasting your time looking into Mustang High School if you're looking into a new school. It's a literal joke. The class principles are really nice, some of the students here are really nice and open, others not so much. However, our head principle and other higher ups are slacking. If it doesn't involve sports, it doesn't matter and it's a sad reality. If you're a new student, they don't bother to help you out, so you're just thrown into this sea of 3,000+ kids and expected to survive the day. Kids literally do drugs in the parking lot and come into class high as kite but there are so many students that disciplinary action is minimal. E Hall bathrooms are literally so old and gross and in desperate need of an update. Going by the DECA Store literally smells like a sewer exploded on the occasion. Another thing that blows major with this school is the lack of support for clubs and student organizations. Robotics, art club, so on and so forth, need funds to get to competitions and events, as well as supplies and other necessities. It's gotten so bad (because all the school wants to waste their taxpayer money on is a brand new athletics bus, an event center, new soap dispensers,..) that the DECA Store does fundraisers to help them out because no one else will. Supposedly (from what I have heard) DECA's last fashion show made A LOT of money to donate to Special Olympics and I never heard our principle come out and spread the word or even attend the show. How lame. It's sports and P3 over the students any day and everyday."
"This school foster racism and popularity. Most of the teachers there are clueless. This place is full of wannabe gangsters and ghettoness. And seriously, Notetaking? Bullshit rubbish course. They are just creating work that is not needed for teachers. Poor management of labor resource allocation. Corporal punishment should be approved for this high school."
"My experience at this school was one of the worst school experiences I've ever endured. Coming, to this school my freshman year after moving from Moore I was already not happy about. I had moved out of my moms and into my dads. Coming to Mustang High my first day. One of the biggest things I noticed is how uptight, and judgmental it seemed like everyone was. My experience here only made me feel emotions I never felt before at a school. I never been to a place that judges someone so deep to the core, it almost made me feel like being back at St. Anthony's. Although, I did get into some legal trouble at this school. And, that's solely my fault. But from talking to other schools back in Moore. Mustang High did a very poor job of handling the situation, and only made me feel coming back like they really didn't want me being there. And this taking place a few years ago. I still have yet to never have a worse experience than I had at Mustang High."
"Finally on the rise. Offers more than it used to but still needs to increase their focus on Education rather than just sports. Upset they don't offer shelter for the community now like they used to."
"I am part of the Robotics team. We went to a state regional, for FRC(FIRST Robotics Challenge), and the Junior team(including me) placed 4th. The top 3 went to the Super Regional(I believe it was in St Louis this year). So, what was the determining factor? BUDGET. We had the smallest budget among all schools there. It was so bad, that our "robot" was last year's scraps. everyone had motors that outdated ours. Also, I was in BPA for my first two years, and ever since they reduced the amount of field trips we could have, every club has gotten a little worse; and you would think it's because kids are missing a lot of in-class work, but no, even the clubs that had trips on weekends, they got reduced too. But no, our budget had to be implemented into that new Event Center. and before that, it went into that new Wellness Center. Yeah, so much for opportunity, in this school, all they care about, and probably will ever care about, is sports. And that, was just extra-curricular activities, there's more to it than that. -Lunch feels just like Middle School, even portioning. -The fact that We don't have an open lunch. Outright Stupid -Even if we did have open lunch, there wouldn't be enough time(30 minutes) -Several Classes are utter chaos(my 3rd hour, to be specific, every time i tried to talk to the teacher, either she was stressed out, or she couldn't hear me over the class' constant roar) -DRUGS, so much for a drug free zone. I've seen clear signs of it almost weekly. And I assure you, that some people giving the positive rating of 4 or 5 are more than likely faculty and staff, which is surprising, because we had no school one day, because all of the teachers rioted at the State Capitol, demanding better wages."
