"This place was good. I went during lunch and it was pretty packed. Good atmosphere and the food was good. More upscale Americana food. lots of good choices. Service was fast and friendly. I really had no complaints, I felt like the portion size was good for the price, and they offer half sizes on most entree. The build your own Mac and cheese was good and popular. I would return."
"Food: The food was okay. The Mac and cheese was good for the most part . And a lot of mustard on the burger. Service: I was immediately greeted by the host and seated. The waitress was by my table greeting me shortly after. She kept up with me and made sure I had drink and wasn't overly checking. She kept a smile on her face the whole time checking on me and other patrons. I'm not sure of her name but she has light purple hair. She introduced herself I just didn't pay attention; I was thinking about food. Thank you"
"Another great find! The chicken fajita nachos are surprisingly neat, and impressively delicious! The chicken fried steak was HUGE and tender at a great price point! And the fries were incredible. They were seasoned well, crispy and browned. I would say the side of Mac and cheese was unfortunately pretty bland and unimpressive compared to the other items. We had to add a significant amount of salt and pepper. My fajitas were pretty good! The steak was tender and cut thin. It had a tasty seasoning and overall I was impressed. Especially compared to other non-Hispanic restaurants. All staff was very friendly, though we found it off that they never once came by to take away empty dishes that cluttered the table. It took a little longer than comfortable to be checked up on, on occasion, but nothing unacceptable. The atmosphere here is generally very clean and cute! It is aesthetically pleasing and colorful. Unfortunately I find it unnecessary and unprofessional to display pride flags throughout the place, especially when no other flags are present. For that reason, I’m not sure if we will frequent the establishment, however if that is your thing, the whole vibe is very enjoyable!"
"Clean dining and friendly staff. That’s about all the nice things I can say about our trip to The Brook. I was pretty put off that someone from the kitchen didn’t wash their hands after using the restroom. The fish and chips I’m pretty sure was Gordon’s frozen fish. The fries and fried pickles were pretty good. The hair in the tartar sauce was a real bummer. They serve a certain brand of malt vinegar that doesn’t have much flavor. I would have left a bigger tip for our server but they decided to automatically add a tip for me. I know that’s not the server’s fault and I feel bad that she lost an extra six dollars on her tip. I just feel like I don’t like being told how much to tip."
"I tried fried mushrooms for.the first time, I've never liked mushrooms and these were really good! Dipped in ranch. The menu mentioned chicken breast marinated in their special house marinade so that made me curious. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and the flavor on the chicken was really good! I will say the chicken itself was over cooked and very dry. I asked the waitress if I could have some sauce on the side for it, but she said they marinate the chicken in it so they can't give me any, because of the raw chicken that's soaking in it. The bun was dry too so that didn't help. The tater tots were tasty that came with it, and like I said the flavor was good. My margarita on the rocks was very good! Super strong. Kelsey makes a good drink!! My friend had the Swiss burger and enjoyed it, she did mention how the bun was dry and not anything special as well. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. Floors were sticky that felt gross but maybe it's the humidity. I will say I plan on going back."
