Sami's Southern Kitchen & More 626 North Mission Street, Sapulpa, OK 74066

"First of all, the name “Sami’s Southern Kitchen and More.” It is in no way associated with the Sam’s Southern Eatery that you may have seen in the Tulsa area. Sam’s Southern Eatery is a large chain with restaurants scattered across ten or more states. They had a restaurant in Broken Arrow. I never tried it. Apparently not very good; they closed. Sami’s Southern Kitchen and More, only has two locations right now, Sapulpa and Saint Peters, MO. It is a small company. With food this good I predict that it will grow. Their menu is large, covering most all essential southern foods: BBQ, chicken and seafood. Every time we have driven by at lunch hour the parking lot has been packed. Jim L.’s review and recommendation for the grilled shrimp got my attention. My wife had the 6 fried jumbo shrimp with the red beans and rice as the side. These were indeed large sized shrimp, with a crispy golden-brown coating. The beans and rice were amazing. Smokey tender beans floating on seasoned rice. They were so good I ordered a pint to take home. I ordered the 12 grilled shrimp meal. Fresh shrimp well coated in a blend of spicey Cajun seasoning and grilled with butter. Fantastic! Along with it hush puppies and creamy fresh Cole slaw. Finally, I have found my Cajun / southern food restaurant. This was a restaurant that leaves you thinking about how good the food was as you drive back home. Great friendly service. A large dining area."

"I had the gumbo special with two large tubs. Yummy sausage, shrimp, rice, and spices. It also came with a fish strip (good with malted vinegar), and two jumbo shrimp. Wife had the Philly cheese steak salad with lots of beef. Good food all around."

"I had my pick of going anywhere for my birthday lunch, and I wanted to try Sami's. So happy I did! I had the baby shrimp, and received a bunch of shrimp, two sides and a huge soft drink! Hubby ordered the gumbo meal and was surprised to get TWO cups of gumbo, two jumbo shrimp and a delicious fried Catfish. We don't usually order Catfish out anymore as we just haven't enjoyed it as much as at home. But at Sami's it was THE BEST! And we couldn't resist getting a side of their corn nuggets! Our sweet server, Jasmine made sure we were cared for every step! She's what so many big chain restaurants are missing! Can't wait to return with family and friends!!"

"Several things to cover here - so I’ll save the preamble. Food was phenomenal. The portions were YUGE. This food tasted so good. We all shared our food, so I got a good variety and it was all top notch. And when I requested “and ungodly amount of lemon,” they SERVED. They gave me enough lemons for like three waters to be POTENT. Next, the service. They seated us quick, they got us drinks quick, the got us food quick. The server was kind and caring. Lastly, atmosphere. Out of this world! There was no music, so we could hear each other talk. But it wasn’t like, awkward. There was background noise and other customers talking, too. Very pleasant experience. It was a solid diner. Legitimately, 10/10 would recommend."

"If you haven’t tried Sami’s Southern Kitchen & More yet, well why not? Yes it looks like and tastes like what we have seen up on the hill but this Sami’s has so much more. I didn’t find the new lunch menu on the website but happened to drive by and it caught my eye on the $9.99 lunch Speacials. Sami’s has several items to choose from on their lunch menu. My guest and I ordered the lunch specials, I got the 6 jumbo shrimp with one side of fries and my guest got the 1 fish, 1 chicken and 2 shrimp with one side of fries. Both were $9.99 and $2.49 for the drink for a grand total of $28 taxes. You can get it fried or grilled and his offerings at this location is far more than what we used to seeing. I wish I had taken a shot of the lunch menu but you’ll have to go check it out yourself. The man himself brought out a sampling of his gumbo, it’s a little to warm for me to eat gumbo but it was tasty and it’s on the lunch menu too. Highly recommend Sami’s Southern Kitchen & More."
