Reviews of Blue Zoo Aquarium Oklahoma City
"Extremely disappointed in this place! As someone who has had multiple saltwater and freshwater fish tanks this place was so depressing to walk into. I paid 60$ to see dying and sick fish and empty tanks. All the corral is dead, the fish look like they are poor health. There is algae everywhere taking over the tanks and what’s left of the corral. There is aptasia everywhere killing everything. The only colorful rocks are fake. The sea anemones and fish are struggling to stay alive. I go to my local saltwater fish store and see way more beautiful tanks for free, and I can purchase the corral and fish. The stingray and parakeet exhibit was the only part that super enjoyable. The fresh water fish looked crammed in the tank. I enjoyed seeing the tortoise up close and petting them, but no one was in the exhibit to make sure they didn’t get out or bite anyone. When we got there I was told I had to pay an extra 20$ a person just to see the mermaids but online it says it is included with your purchase of a ticket. That would have been another $60 bucks to see the mermaids. I was in there an hour and had looked at everything twice. They have a cool play area for kids but I can go to a park for free for that. The owner obviously doesn’t know how to take care of any of the animals there. I’m sure at one point it looked beautiful, as does every saltwater tank before it is mistreated and neglected."
"It's a great place to take the family lots of fun things for kids to do and fun animals to see and you can feed some of them"
"I was pleasantly surprised about how big this place is along with the activities there are for anybody from if you just like animals or you have small kids and want to play on their play sets. The sting rays are like water puppies and seek out attention. It's a great place, go check it out."
"Not bad, thought there'd be more to do for the price. Employee's were watching us like they were cops and we were wanted criminals (imo), but the kids enjoyed themselves so I give it a 4."
"We loved our visit! I brought a toddler and it was perfect for us. The exhibits were very child-friendly: easy to reach and see, clean, well staffed, knowledgable staff, very educational, really fun and hands-on. The mermaid show was really sweet. I was skeptical because I feel like that kind of show can be a bit weird sometimes but this was very sweet and professional. She read to the kids some books about fish, talked with them like a Disney Princess experience, and then swam and waved at the kids. It was really sweet. We loved the whole experience being there and will for sure be back!"
