"Sedalia’s has top-notch food that will challenges the stereotype that there is no fresh seafood in OKC. My tastebuds went on a trip thanks to delicious oysters, scallop crudo, chargrilled squid, and house-made tonics. The dishes look like something off of Chef’s Table on Netflix. The restaurant is teeny tiny - you better get a reservation. But the vibes are great and the size makes for fast service! My only wish was that I had been seated at the chef’s bar per my reservation request, as it would have been especially a treat to get to watch the cooks in action."
"we went to the sedalias/palosanto pop up tonight and the experience was amazing! we adored the cocktails and the amazing entrees. it was so fun seeing our favorite bar partner with our favorite restaurant."
"I am so excited to have finally after a year of living so close to Sedalia's that I made it over. The appetizer bread was by far the best I have ever had, I loved that the server knew so much about the menu and the wine was paired nicely. I can't wait to come back again. I had a wonderful experience overall. Don't forget to get the custard (leave some room it was a perfect way to end the meal)."
"It's a dive in terms of atmosphere. Extremely small restaurant. There's a small counter space on the inside over looking the tiny kitchen. The outside is just a patio with cheap dining furniture. Note, I still gave Sedalias five stars. And they deserve every one of them. The food is simply divine. I've been twice in the last week!!! Freshest seafood you can get in OKC and prepared by an amazingly talented chef. The bread with cod butter was life changing. Seriously. Do NOT skip it. The grilled oysters were simply the best I've ever tasted in any state or country I've been to. The fried hake was what every piece of fried fish should be and rarely ever is. Perfectly crisp crunch on the outside. Thinly battered, to let the flakey, tender flesh of the fish shine through. The day scallops....well....I had no idea scallops had so much flavor. They are served raw. It was clearly labeled on the menu as being from the raw bar. I was just too excited to see fresh scallops and my eyes skipped right over that part!!! Being immunocompromised I only risked a couple bites, then took the rest home and threw them in a searing hot cast iron skillet for like 2.5 minutes until just cooked through. I'm sure they would have done it for me, but I couldn't bear asking them to alter their dish for fear they might think it criticism and it most certainly is NOT. They were delicious raw and just as good cooked. Whatever butter, nut, vinegarette HEAVEN they had the scallops marinated in stood up well to cooking and it was every bit as flavorsome. The service is simply excellent. The waitstaff is highly knowledgeable about the food and its sourcing. It's an all hands on deck approach there. I think the chef himself brought out my meal. Everyone is friendly, warm and inviting. After explaining about my raw restrictions the waitress made it a point to tell me she'd remember. I would feel fully comfortable just asking next time if they'd mind searing the scallops and I'm sure it would be no problem at all. Their menu changes every week or two so you'll never be bored. This weekend they had live sea urchin on special. There are items for even the most jaded of palates. I missed out on the paddlefish caviar. They sold out!! So I'll be stalking the menu every week until it returns and will make it a point to pop in earlier in the week! So you see....it WORKS. Think Nonesuch or Grey Sweater level cuisine and service but unpretentious, homey and reasonably priced for what you're getting. Fresh salmon flown in same day from Norway ain't cheap. But otherwise... Feel free to show up in jeans and a cute and comfy sweater, chat up your server, relax and let your tastebuds sing."
"One of the best dining experiences I've ever had and definitely the best in Oklahoma. If they had Michelin star restaurants in OKC this would be one. The food was incredible, the wine was perfectly paired, and our server was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive."
