"Alex saved my dad's life. He found the massive pulmonary embolism that two previous providers had missed in the last two weeks. The team at Stroud took great care of us, kept us informed, and ensured a smooth transition to a higher level of care. We are so grateful."
"7/2/23 I went to ER because, I couldnt breathe. My vitals were good but they didnt stop their. They went the extra mile to find the problem. They found fluid on my lungs. I was immediately transferred by EMSA, to have the fluid removed. So, thankful to AVEM ER - Employees and their professional skills, love and concern for their patients. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you AVEM. Alfreidya"
"My brother was transported to this hospital, on Saturday. Just in our short stay, we have found staff to be knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. Would highly recommend this place for you or a loved one. The staff ratio 4 patients to 1 nurse is wonderful. The nurses sit down (when not working with a patient) at a computer terminal, by their patients rooms. This type of care allows the nurses to respond quickly to any and all requests of their assigned patients. Angie (RM) gave me the tour and allowed me to ask any and all questions during the interview process. She is so unbelievably patient, kind and knowledgeable. Julie (RN) my brother’s day nurse and the wound care team are exceptional. Every person at Stroud, nursing staff, dietary, custodial, have all been terrific and accommodating. I would also like to give a huge shout out to the dietary staff. During our previous hospital stay (45-days), my brother didn’t eat very much because the food was terrible. At Stroud Medical he has eaten everything put in front of him which is great for him . Lastly, there is the nicest woman (She’s in charge of the food - sorry can’t remember her name) she came in to see talk with us our first day. What a treasure she is and Stroud made a great choice when they hired her."
"We were in town visiting for a annual motorcycle cyle event. It was the second time my 11 year old daughter was ever on the motorcycle when they crashed. I was beside myself. The staff at the hospital was so understanding, empathetic and thorough! The nurse who initially took our information was prompt and rushed us through because she could see how visibly upset I was. When we were leaving and I thanked her again she showed me her tattoo that said “for her, I would risk it all”. Then she wrote it on a piece of paper for me to take and I felt the true “human/mom” connection of strangers caring for one another. The second nurse was also so kind and knowledgeable and made the situation so much better! The manager of the hospital also came in and asked questions to make sure there were no internal issues. He wasn’t accusatory, truly cared and took his time making sure we felt comfortable and had the nicest disposition!!! He along with the other staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt safe with what we needed to do for her going forward. I’ve been to numerous different hospitals in few states and I feel as though I received the most prompt care, along with the best care, and the greatest amount of empathy from the employees at Stroud Oklahoma Hospital. The people there made all the difference in that difficult situation for my daughter and I. Not because they had to (they could have just done the bare minimum like many community workers) because they are good people who truly positively impact their community. They should get raises and incentives because the world needs more people like them!"
