Love you ladies, thank you for your care, your one in million!"
"If I could give no stars I would. Absolute worst care I’ve ever received. I had a culture done they were supposed to call in a few days with results. No call. I had to call myself a week later and they treated it like it was no big deal. They DO NOT care about anyone’s health or wellbeing and are even rude and confrontational when trying to advocate for yourself as a patient. Veterinarians treat animals better than this place treats people!"
"I already post my bad experience on yelp but after seeing a older lady of my nationality being mistreated. I just have to share my experience here. Click on my yelp link if you would like to hear what happen. I know they're not all bad people at this hospital but, the doctor and his night crew at the ER department I listed in my story should reconsider a new profession if their heart aren't in it to save or help people. "Great hospital! Dr Mullins is an amazing OB and really takes time each appointment going over everything and making sure you understand. He genuinely cares about his patients."
"I came in for a back injury a week prior to this visit and the doctor I had seen was super nice, quick, and explained the possible cause and got me out of pain quickly. After a week, the pain had not subsided and was actually getting worse. I read several medical articles online that said if your pain is causing you trouble with going to the bathroom or sleeping, walking, etc., that you need to go to the ER. I went back because my experience and wait time was so great the first time. The doctor that came in to see me immediately asked if I had followed up with my primary care physician. I had not due to thinking the pain would subside and that it was likely an injury to the sacroiliac joint as the previous doctor had told me. He then said that there is nothing he can do for me because I need an MRI. I asked if I could get an MRI and he said it was reserved for people with life threatening conditions and proceeded to tell me what an emergency room is for and that my pain, although it may be severe, was not an emergency. My father was there to drive me because I could not drive myself. My dad asked what we should do then because I could not even sit in a chair to be able to do my job, had trouble going to the restroom because of the pain, and could not sleep or lay with any comfort. We explained that getting in with my primary care to get a referral and then schedule the MRI, then schedule an appointment for the results could take weeks or months and that it was, in fact, an emergency situation. The doctor then said he could give me a shot in the back for the pain but that it would be temporary and that by Oklahoma law, he was only able to write me a prescription for 3 days worth of treatment. The pain medication situation was understandable due to the strict laws on opioids. We did come there to relieve my pain but we primarily came there to get answers as to why I was in so much pain and to make sure this wasn’t something that could cause permanent damage or to make sure there wasn’t any infection happening that could cause problems down the line. He did not inspect anything other than touching my back and asking “Does this hurt?” I replied it did and he said, “Yeah, you’ll need an MRI. I can do an X-ray, but that’s it.” He was very dismissive and was more interested in telling us that “the system was broken, but that HE can’t fix it.” He then said, “Did you say this pain has been happening for a month?” I said, “Yes, but not this bad. It’s getting worse, which is why I’m concerned.” He said, “Well, if you would’ve called your primary a month ago, you probably would’ve gotten results by now.” I explained that I don’t make a habit of scheduling an MRI anytime I have lower back pain because I do have sciatica, but this pain was much more intense. I also explained that I was unable to tell the future and that I didn’t know this would be going on for a month. I understand that not everyone has good bedside manner, but that’s forgivable when you have a doctor who is trying to find answers. This doctor stepped in the room ready to argue and ready to dismiss us as quickly as he could. There was no talk of possible causes or solutions. When we asked if we get the MRI, what would be the possible outcomes for this type of pain, he said, “You’d have to talk to a neurologist.” We gave up and refused the X-ray because he said he wouldn’t be able to treat me anyways and acted as if he was doing me favor by doing the X-ray. They gave me a shot and a prescription for a few pain pills and sent us on our way. I am still in pain and am trying to schedule with my primary care."
