Reviews of The Press
"Our first time visiting here we decided to sit outside since it was a gorgeous day. Nice atmosphere and felt like something you'd see in Austin. I had a pork belly salad and it was excellent. Partner ordered pork belly biscuit and also enjoyed it. Service was odd. Nobody seemed in a hurry to take food orders and for awhile we thought we had been forgotten - even though there were at least 8 individuals coming and going to the patio area. Joseph did come over and help us and he was really nice. I'm not sure if the entire experience is always so slow, so just give it a little time or go somewhere else if you're in a hurry."
"I’m not vegan. I tried eating vegan a few times because a few family members are. I was frequenting the drive from OKC to Dallas for a while. I would get off the freeway and go out of my way to go get their vegan sloppy Joe. Several times. It may be an acquired taste, I don’t really think so. But this is a solid sandwich regardless of what your palette is and worth a try. They play soul music in the dining area too."
"Stopping into The Press while in town for a Thunder game. It’s a historic area with cute shops and diners. The Press has an urban historic feel, lots of seats, a cute bar, and a couple to watch games. I had a bowl of chili and it was fantastic. Not too spicy. My daughter had the mashed potato chicken bowl. It was full of carbs but looked delicious. About $10 a head. We will be back for the next game!"
"Was a little pricier than expected, but the food was definitely worth it. Family of five, spent about $75. The shrimp and grits were very good. And I eat that dish at a variety of restaurants. The quesadilla using the beef ribs were very good also. Daughter had the chili and enjoyed it and the kids shared the mozzarella sticks appetizer and seven dollar kids chicken strips. Love the arts district so when we came here on a week night whim, expected a good experience and food. Did not disappoint."
"Wow, I just tried the whole menu here and it was amazing! The meatloaf was so good and the barbecue sauce they put on it. Also the mashed potato bowl with the fried chicken is a must have. The seasoning on the fried chicken strips was amazing. I have to say the shrimp and grits was probably the best I’ve had in years really unique Cajun seasoning on the shrimp. The chicken fried steak was good, but we had to ask for extra country gravy because it didn’t come with enough. The pot roast was also really good again. Didn’t have enough gravy so we had to ask for more. Check out the photos will definitely come back. This place was so good."
