"The roads are rough for smaller cars. I have a Honda Civic, and there was a hill that we slid down because the road was steep, very uneven, and had loose dirt. It was fairly scary. Even not on the hilly parts, the road is so uneven that you will have to drive VERY slowly to avoid scraping the bottom of your car. The animals were very dirty and didn't look in the best health compared to a few other similar places we've been to. There are some animals that are meant to be in groups, but we only saw one of them. Example: 1 zebra and 1 giraffe. Some of the animals that have to be fenced off are in areas that are WAY too small for them. The white tiger outside and the lemur and bird inside are examples. We really hope those animals are moved to larger areas after hours; otherwise, I would argue it's possible animal cruelty. I'm surprised to not see more reviews mentioning this. The bathrooms were in bad shape as well. I believe there were only 2 of 5 urinals working and 1 of 3 stalls working. We did have fun, though; there were some cute animals, such as donkeys, llamas, and the giraffe. There does also appear to be a majority, or the 'walking' portion, to be closed off as it's under construction."
"Had a BLAST!!!!! Made forever memories! We got there later in the afternoon and it poured down rain (AND HAIL) on us, but we still had so. much. fun! The animals were just amazing!! The whole place is simply beautiful. We loved the ostriches, buffalo, llamas, longhorns, donkeys, TIGER!, camel, ducks, anti-social zebra, rhino... We loved them all! They are beautiful, sweet, and hilarious! If you're headed that way, a few suggestions: *Get there early, before the animals have eaten much. (And if you can go at an off-time when it's not as busy, that would be best) *Be patient. Shake your food cup so the animals can hear it. They'll come. *Drive slowly and carefully - yes there are some rough spots in the road. *Don't friggin honk at the other cars. It's rude and they're trying to have a good time. Furthermore, you have no idea what's going on in the car in front of you. So, if you're an impatient ahole, carefully pass when it's safe. *Hang on to your feed cup for dear life!! *Yes, the animals will stick their whole heads in your vehicle. They smell bad, they slobber, and they snot. You'll get feed everywhere. Expect to do an interior cleaning after your visit. It's all part of it. The park is great! It's an affordable afternoon adventure that the whole family will enjoy. (The staff act like they have better things to do but whatever. (Maybe they should watch Lion King) Not gonna let them ruin it...) I highly highly recommend loading up and making your way to Oklahoma for a day you won't soon forget."
"I felt this place was overpriced for what we got. There are a ton of llamas and donkeys that follow you around. The road was very rough. There were pot holes and broken up tar. A couple of spots we had to engage our 4WD to get up the hill because it was slippery with mud where the tarred road wasn't there anymore. The inside walk through part was closed when we were there. We did not park and go in the gift shop. We left when we were done."
"Our experience was nothing short of amazing! Where else can you intimately connect with such a diverse array of animals? Visit to the Arbuckle Wildernesswas an an absolute blast with my wife! The abundance of diverse animals made it an incredibly enjoyable and entertaining experience. The variety of wildlife added an exciting dimension to the adventure, making it a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts. Exploring the sanctuary was not only fun but also educational, providing an engaging activity that left us with lasting memories of a fantastic day spent in the great outdoors."
