"After ending a second job assignment (6 PM Saturday - 4 AM Sunday) I stopped to eat something, not having too many options at 4:05 AM. The restaurant had about 4-5 occupied tables, and the receptionist told me to wait to be seated. After 3 minutes, a waiter takes me to the seat and I ask for a sweet tea. It seems he was the only waiter working. At 4:15 AM, I still didn’t have the tea I asked for, even as the waiter has gone to the kitchen and passed near my table a few times. No food order. I decide to walk out and head home. I don’t know the story behind this. Quiet quitting? Understaffed? Bad management? All I know is, I am hungry and now I’m warming up some leftovers so I can go to bed. I side with the service industry when tipping +20% because salaries are generally not addressing the employees needs. I am respectful with employees because I too am an employee trying to make the best with the cards I’m dealt with. But I do expect service. When I go to a restaurant on a rush hour, I am patient. I am not disrespectful nor demanding. Still, when the delays in service rub me the wrong way, I just prefer to walk away and vent off. I am aware it could be a bad day for the employee, or certainly a management problem. All I know is, whatever the reason, my father taught me that waiting 10+ minutes for an iced tea tells me that my problems with the food are just beginning."
"They had very very bad customer service. We were forgot about and we had to ask for our food after it sat in the window. I waited disappeared which caused the manager to come, she forgot about us also. We not be returning"
"Since nobody EVER seems to answer the phone lines at this location, I'll leave my complaint(s) here. Wednesday 12/13/23 2pm First complaint: NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE HERE! I had very little time to stop and eat today, but as a truck driver I can't be on my phone messing with ordering to go through an app, so I tried to phone in my order since I have a wireless headset to call with. From 30 minutes out, I tried calling multiple times up until I rolled up to the location. Second complaint: Upon entering the location the 2 servers who saw me at the host stand waiting for service both turned around and didn't acknowledge my presence nor notify anyone else that a PAYING CUSTOMER was waiting in the lobby. Only when I peered around the corner into the dining area and made eye contact with the manager, (who the male server had gone to talk with rather than see that I'm taken care of) only then did the manager herself come ask me if I had been helped. I told her no and that I needed to make a to go order, so she then sent the female server who had seen me earlier but did not come to assist until told to. Third and final complaint: Last but not least, this one is about my food. I ordered the Cali club specifically with NO CHEESE. As noted earlier, I was in a hurry and the shortcomings in service here had already delayed me long enough, so when I received my to go order I did not check it. Like an idiot I trusted them because how hard could it be to make an order with no cheese right? 30 miles down the road in my truck with a 53' trailer behind me I found out. Making a club sandwich with NO CHEESE is extremely challenging between the servers and the cooks, apparently. END RANT."
"Met at IHOP for a business meeting and always enjoy the coffee and food. Trista was a great server too. I'll ask for her table next time. Wade Carter"
