"Wonderful food, great atmosphere and if you haven't tried the smoked cabbage, you are missing out."
"The restaurant has been open for about 6 months, and therefore is still working some things out. Having said that, the food is awesome! I had the 2 meat 2 side option with the chopped brisket and ribs, both were outstanding! 3 bbq sauce options and my favorite was the Mrs. Gray's which is a mustard base sauce and really good. Sides were smoked cabbage (really good) and fries. The family running The Backside is very friendly and helpful! Overall highly recommend for great bbq!"
"I love this place. Such a fun & relaxed atmosphere! The food is the best homemade food I've had at a restaurant! The staff is friendly and always the most helpful and accommodating! Since part of the dining area is situated in an outside, fenced area, this is also an ideal place to bring the kids!"
"Great food. The review that says the beer line is long or the patio is crowded, is simply because the food is great!!!! The atmosphere is a big family!!! Top notch & they care about their business & their food they put out. It’s phenomenal from the food to the atmosphere!!!! Be sure & stop here anytime your close"
"This was some of the worst bbq ever, the waitress was too young to bring drinks and the beer line was 30 minutes long. They need to re-invent the menu, cut the prices in half, double the portions and try again. I had ribs, they were 5" long and mostly bone, but 4 of them was $20. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich, it was tiny. Only half the bun had meat in it(maybe 2 Oz. Of dry pork) that was $15 . Next time I go to hear someone sing there I will eat first. There was one saving grace for the Backside. The place is a pretty cool setting for an evening enjoying live music. The building is small but well decorated. The covered porch is neat but crowded. We sat on one of the outside picnic tables with umbrellas, not too bad, but probably not going in July. The restrooms were clean and plentiful with really neat signs on the door."
