"I visited the restaurant today for the first time. I wanted to get a to go order placed and was asked to stand in the line that the people who were waiting to be seated were in. That didn't make much sense to me. By the time it was my turn to enter the restaurant to place my "to go" order, I wasn't in the best of moods. They ushered me to the bar and my whole experience changed. I was greeted by the nicest, most cordial woman...Michelle M. I started to tell her that the "to go" policy was insane and she just smiled and was very understanding...literally defused my anger and dismay. I could tell she was compassionate, even though it didn't have anything to do with her. She took my order, offered me a drink or a glass of water while I waited and listened to me gripe...lol. She is a true professional...and if she's looking for a side hustle, I suggest she try being a therapist...lol. She was amazing !!!"

"Had to get in line at 4:00pm for the dinner service time opening at 5pm due to the menu reset. Jerry Jones has made a large group reservation next door and openings where tight. You can order off the bar menu or the same menu from next door, that has reservations a month out, same kitchen. Food was amazing and service was spot on. Beef Filet was a perfect MedRare and lobster was done scampi style (pulled out, chopped, lightly sautéed and poured back in shell) ….mind alteringly excellent. Great wine selection and some of the best old fashions around. 3/10/24 update: Been some time since we stopped by Windstar. Had the usual excellent Old Fashioned and Crab Cake perfection. Decided to try the wings. Wow! This is by far the best wings I have ever had. Hard fried to a seasoned crispy exterior with and interior that is juicy moist and tender. Usual sides of carrots and celery. Home made hot sauce was brilliant. Home made ranch and blue cheese blew the top off of this little secret."

"Im staying at the Winstar Hotel tonight on Elite (not a big deal here) status.... I ate at Mickey Mantles, which I have done many times in the past years. It serves bar menu and Kirby's menu food. The wait time is terrible - up to 1hr+ even when they have tables open! This time, the young lady at the hostess stand had a personality of a disgruntled employee and didn't like waiting on people.......very cold & no manners. She seated me at the bar against my request even with numerous tables open. This is also one of the first visits that a Mantle's bartender, a young lady who was actually pleasant, attentive, and had a nice, friendly attitude. Many are abrupt, irritable, and short of table manners that have no clue what customer service means... Anyway, the Maryland crab cakes - not really a traditional crab cake, but a tower or stack appearance. It was prepared well, but it was served in a very rich sauce that you need to be prepared for. Minus a few pieces of shell bits left in the crab mix it was a good appetizer. My main dish was Sea Bass prepared well as always with a fresh taste. If you prefer fish - It is a good menu choice. If you are having dinner, I suggest waiting for a table in Kirby's restaurant, which has a much better service and dinner atmosphere, but the wait is 1-2x longer."

"Rib-eye steak and salmon were very tasty. The sides we ordered were also well seasoned. Nice little comfortable restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked on us periodically. We treated ourselves on the high end entrees since we had some free dine in credit to burn."

"This is just a bar for Kirby's Steak house. Everything is expensive but we knew that going in. Issue we had.. Ordered an aged 34oz bone-in ribeye for $95. They served us tomahawk steak instead. It was the same price and since we never ate there before we didn't know until we got the bill we were served the wrong steak. They also forgot our mashed potatoes. Stay away from the chips duo. Queso was trash and salsa wasn't much better. Excellent ice cream. Server was very polite. For the price of these two establishment's, these issues shouldn't exist. Good luck."
