"Jefferson Elementary is a diamond in Norman! It is a home away from home for the kids who attend. The staff work as one team with the goal of each child reaching their fullest potential! I have worked closely with the office staff, administration, teachers and support staff. I have had nothing but eager help and quick responses. The PTA is super involved with the school and provide lots of activities and support to the school. I cannot recommend Jefferson more. It has been a blessing to our family!"

"Both of my daughters have been going to Jefferson Elementary since Pre-K. They love the school and the school seems to care about its students. I have seen a few different principles through the last few years, but they have all added something to the school. The cafeteria employees are favorites of my children. We just went to enrollment confirmation and both of my girls talked to the man that is at the register every day. He remembered both of their names and what grades they are going into. As far as teachers, I have had only one that I did not particularly like, and that was for a lack of general communication. My daughter said she was a wonderful teacher and she enjoyed being in her class. The Pre-K teacher at Jefferson was absolutely amazing. She has been with the school for many years and she is great with all of the students. My younger daughter was shy when she first started school and didn't particularly like being with everyone, but she simply blossomed in that class. By the end of Pre-K she could read beginners books and write a little. She is excelling as she goes into first grade now. When my older daughter was just starting Pre-K, I was more worried about her paying attention and not wandering off during instruction, but her teacher was fantastic and said that my daughter was well-behaved and typically stayed on task, a feat that I had not been able to pull off before Pre-K. All but one of the teachers my daughters have had have been wonderful at communicating, often sending out emails just to let the parents know what was going on. One had a text service to talk to her and another set up a classroom on an app for the parents to be able to communicate with her and each other. I couldn't ask for a better elementary experience for my children."
